  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

Forgot what thread this was discussed...but we were talking accessories that increase the true MSRP.

So there are port installed items that are always added to the Window Sticker. Cannot undo these...is what it is.

Then you have dealers that simply mark up the price...b/c they are assholes.

Lastly...there are items the dealer does as well...which I find complete BS.

Here is a perfect example.

Genesis of Atlanta. The window sticker shows a Cargo Tray added at port...$115. No biggie.

But then...the dealer goes ahead and adds $1,115 of BS !!!
3M Scotchguard Paint & Fabric Protection - $495.00. Window Tint - $395.00. All Weather Floormats - $225.00

I find that robbery.

Anyhoo...window sticker and the actual link to the car.

What is the "rear bumper applique" that is on several of the cars? How do they decide which cars to add which accessories to? Like "first aid kit" seems like such a random thing and unrelated to the new car. I don't get how they decide or actually force you to take that.

Not sure...but I’d love to know as my car got it...haha.

They said the way that people will probably be driving their G70 if they have a 3.3T. Better go ahead and put a first aid kit in 😂

I think it is a clear vinyl covering over the bumper by the trunk opening to keep it from getting scratch. Like a clear bra for your rear end. 😂

Oh...do it’s not that mat that folds out? Bummer.

The rear bumper applique is a clear plastic protector on the top of the bumper. Actually a benefit is you accidentally drag something across it putting an item in or out. It is probably worth a third of the price but nice to have. May last car came with the first aid kit. Unless you have your own, it is hard to argue not having one, but I've not opened it in a year. In all my years of driving, may a band aid or two is all I've ever needed.

I just looked at some photos. I sure hope it’s clear!!! Some photos show it as black...even though the car is not...fugly.

It's clear, sometimes it has the car brand logo, sometimes not. You can buy it in Ebay for half off the price for what the dealer ask.

A good source for Hyundai/Genesis accessories, including 2019.
2017 - 2018 Genesis G80 Accessories - Hyundai Accessories Store
I have purchased and installed bumper applique, mudguards (no drilling or wheel removal), license plate frames, door pocket applique, roadside assistance kit. All genuine Genesis parts from a dealer. All with a good discount.

I too gave up on the G70 recently. I’m a half hour from a dealership that currently has 17 of them and has had 17 for a couple weeks now. I test drove one and tried to make a deal. The best they would do was $500 off MSRP. I declined and decided to wait til spring for prices to become more competitive and the non-existent hype that the dealer imagines there is to die down. It was a nice car but it didn’t give me the “must have” feeling to make an impulse buy.

Then I got back to what got me in the new car spirit to begin with. The Corvette Stingray. After about a week or so of scouring every new 2017/2018 available within 500 miles I finally landed a deal for 17K under MSRP on the perfect color and optioned car for me. I’m flying out in the morning and driving it 7 hours back home.

Earlier in the year I had a bad experience with a lying salesman locally who baited me in and soured me on a Vette. Recently I decided to give it another shot and landed a deal after a lot of emails and calls. I even had a spreadsheet detailing everyone I contacted and their best prices. You just have to get a few good offers in writing and send them to other dealers to beat, rinse and repeat.

I wish you all the best of luck on your G70 purchases. In my personal opinion right now is not the time to buy one. Wait til spring when more dealers have them and prices are more competitive. Also the NA Intl Auto Show is coming soon. It will give you time to see what 2020 has to offer.

I drive a Z06 myself as well as the G80 for work. (y) There are some great deals out there for Corvettes wait until the ME comes out....

Oh I'm calm (hence the LOL). I got my car (almost). Just sayin' what it took to get there !
Congrats! Just got the news that mine was found too and I still have to wait an agonizing 2-3 more weeks for it to come in

Can you delete those dealer installed options? I had a guy try to up sell me on nitrogen once because he said it was something that his dealership adds to every car. I said no and to just give me regular air. In the end, they accepted that.

It depends on whether they already have done them. I talked to Atlanta right after they received the cars and they said it was their policy to add them to every car as part of PDI. I guess you could take the floor mats out but hard to remove the tinting or protection. You can always negotiate to have the price removed though.

Depends. Many are already installed and not removable, like coatings. Of course, you can just tell them you are not interested, thank you, not for me, and get up to leave. Suddenly they may remove the charges or at least negotiate. Everything is negotiable, depends on how much you want the car and how much they want the sale.

If they won't or can't remove the added options you should at least get them discounted usually they have a big markup. Normally I would say walk away but being these cars are new and currently hard to find you may not have that option.

Attached is the latest dealer list. I thought we would have Arizona included this week but the cars still haven't arrived, rumor has it they are being held up by some type of DOT process. Not sure what a state DOT has to do with new cars but haven't looked into it.

South Carolina is back on the list and a number of new dealers have received inventory. We are now at 14 states and 40 dealers. Hopefully Arizona will get inventory next week and I wouldn't be surprised if we see NC with some shortly.

As always, if anyone runs across a dealer with inventory not on the list we would appreciate a heads up.

I will crosspost on the similar thread.
