  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

This is the unfortunate truth. I want to be rash and pull the trigger at MSRP, but I'm going to do the financially prudent thing and wait. The other nagging issue is the fact that the car comes with summer tires, meaning dropping another $2k to drive safely. How the hell are these dealerships going to do test drives during the winter with Michelin PS4s??
The last part is an excellent point...never even thought of that !!! PS4's in an inch of snow is a disaster waiting to happen.

Here in IL, we got snow yesterday and it's been 40F or lower all week. No way in hell I'd be comfortable taking the car out on a test drive.

Perhaps the dealer put winter tires on the demo cars? Or they only let them out when the roads are dry.

Hard to have "demo" cars when there's literally only one 3.3T Sport in the entire gd state.

Damn I did not think about this. At all. Smh. Even with AWD and careful driving I am screwed with PS4s?

The tires are rated to 40F IIRC. You'll be okay in sub-30F weather... as long as the conditions are dry.

Looks like the 2.0 AWD comes with MXM4 all season tires. Can anyone else confirm this? I should be good if that's the case.

Depends on trim. But you're getting Advanced, right? In that case, yes, you'll have 18" wheels with all-season tires.

I know this probably is the incorrect thread to voice this in but is anyone else a little. Ticked that the 2019 BMW 3 series is going to be out in a few short months? It looks really good and if the AWD didn't start at 42,300 I would really consider waiting. Curious how the base model compares to the G70 advanced trim in terms of options/accesories.

Also has anyone actually been inside an advanced trim? I've only test driven an Elite and I hope I am not disappointed with leatherette and the non-premium sound. I am by no means an audiophile and I really liked the leatherette in my friends $40K 2018 4 Runner. I owned a car with a sunroof and used it twice in 6 years so I am quite confident that won't bother me.

The new 3 series looks gorgeous. However BMW first year models tendto have lots of issues.
I wish we had something as advanced as i-Drive!

You should never drive summer tires in snow or in temps 35 or below. The tires are not designed for those conditions and lose an extreme amount of grip. AWD isn’t going to save you. You will have to buy all season or preferably winter tires unless you have a fetish for car crashes. Definitely factor tires into your budget if you don’t live in a warm climate.

I just parked next to a brand new X5 with the sport package and 20" summer sport tires and thought, I wonder if the salesperson mentioned to the buyer they needed different tires for winter. It is not supposed to be over 30 tomorrow and snowing here and I bet the owner thinks their new X5 will handle it like a champ.

"But, BMW said it has such an advanced all-wheel drive system! Why is this happening??" *gets stuck at the end of their driveway*

Genesis of Henderson seems to have 4 in stock, not sure how accurate is that though.

its accurate, theyve been getting cars steadily for the past month. I live down the street from them and my car is being delivered in the next week

That's weird as I visited them during my trip to Vegas this weekend and they claimed they are only stuck with the 4 in stock. They also tried to sell me one with a $3k markup (removed it once I said nice try). Car is legit and can't wait for AZ to get them.

According to Genesis' website, the 2019s are now in North Carolina at Genesis of Burlington. I do not see the inventory on the dealer's web site or any third party sites. What also is odd is if I search for inventory using Burlington's zip code nothing shows up. If I use a Winston-Salem zip then the inventory at Burlington shows up. Will cross post in the similar thread.

The G70 has arrived in Charlotte, NC too...dealer called me last night, so will go see it later today. They only have one, but will have more in another week.
