  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

USA Deposits Available in CT, NY, NJ and CA

That's a bummer. I was really looking forward to some of those tech items like HDA2 and AR nav.
Yeah me too. Holding out hope that they'll actually make it to 2023MY then.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Both NSCC and AR Nav are software changes that they can OTA in the future but HDA2 requires the 2 front corner radar sensors that cannot be added later.

Also really hoping they activate the Intelligent Front lighting system of selective beam shutoff for oncoming cars that's standard in all other markets. Now that the lighting regulation has passed in the US, most German makes promised to activate it in future OTA updates. Hopefully we get the same with the Nvidia Drive OTA system.

I'm confused, how are there any 2022 models? I thought this was starting with 2023.

I thought so too. But dude at Priority One said in no uncertain terms that the first batch of GV60s hitting the US will be billed as 2022s. Guess we'll find out in the coming month or two when VINs and window stickers start showing up.

If anyone else can corroborate (or negate) this based on recent info they've gotten from other sources, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much for this super detailed insight. Interesting stuff.

I think it’s odd that they still can’t provide even a general timeline of when deliveries will be made. Beyond that, I’d be interested in comparing the excluding features versus what was on the Package/Trim details when we placed priority one deposit. I have the screenshots so I’ll compare and see if it is what was advertised.

Depending on how the communication moves forward I’ll probably consider other cars. Although at this point, besides pre-configured Polestar 2, there aren’t many EVs available and if they are they are marked up astronomically.

This is precisely why I'm taking my chances first getting an IONIQ 5. If my number does come up for a GV60, I'll likely sell the i5 towards it, but any kind of planning on a GV60 outside of a Priority One order is going to take a lot of patience and leg work.

How is it that they have enough parts to put HDA2 on the Ioniq 5 SEL and Limited, but not enough to put it on the GV60? Paying more money for less features? :(

Poor decision making to pull HDA2 from the premium brand but keep it in your mass market brand

There's already IONIQ 5s on the road in the US. They can't walk the features back. No GV60s yet, so they can. Also, this isn't a deliberate choice. They're faced with a chip shortage and have to pivot appropriately.

As far as I can tell, they are still including HDA2 in new IQ5s sold today. So they decided to allocate the remaining chips to their mass market brand and take it away from their premium marque? That's the decision I'm questioning, not the overall shortage situation.

Yeah, you have it right. My point is that because HDA2 is already in I5s on the road, they likely dont want to remove that feature from more I5s that come in. Because there aren't any GV60s on the road yet, they wouldn't have to "take out" the features, especially if none of them are currently on the road.

But the article kqian111 linked noted that they're taking it out of the 2022 G80, GV70 and GV80 (all of which have models on the road), so they're clearly playing some games here...

Given how supposedly "extremely limited" the GV60 is supposed to be, really doesn't make much sense.

Agreed. If they're walking the feature back year over year in those other models that's not cool

Another thing pointed out in a Canadian review that I've just seen - the US model seems to be missing full recline/Relaxation Mode for the seats? (another thing that the Ioniq 5 Limited has)
The Performance edition includes full-recline seats for both driver and passenger for snoozing while charging; for some reason, GV60s sold in the United States don’t offer this for the driver.

Has anyone heard from their Concierge since the pricing/review news on May 17? Concrete details on deliveries to dealerships, test drives and fulfillment of Priority One orders?

Just called them again now. No new updates as they "wait for inventory to arrive." This is a super frustrating "personal shopper" experience.

I agree. It’s all so secretive. I find it highly unlikely that they don’t know at least what month they will arrive. If they know, why not give us that info to instill some confidence. And if they don’t know enough to provide a general timeline, that’s concerning.

From rumors I’ve seen online and feedback from dealers, it sounds like it’s impending. But again, nothing concrete. So frustrating

I will, again, wonder out loud: "Why is it that Canadians put deposits down before those in the UK and USA, yet seem to be last to receive vehicles?"
