  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2011 V8 Genesis sedan. I've had it about 4 weeks and just noticed a small vibration in the steering wheel when I'm backing out of a parking spot or turning out of my driveway.

Any ideas? Will definitely take it to the dealer tomorrow morning.

From what you have stated I would say you have a tire problem. check the wear on your tires. Look closely for dips, cupping or wear on one side of tires. What I think you are feeling is uneven grip at slow speeds. Also, do you still have the OE Dumbflops on your car? If so then for sure its the tires.

The tires? Really? The car is only 1 month old...has about 2000 miles on it.

There was no vibration this morning so it may be gone. But if it repeats, then I'll definitely head to the dealer.

Why wait? For peace of mind take it to the dealer now. They can at least rule out certain things even if they can't replicate the problem.

Topic MOVED. This is not a technical service bulletin!

I did notice the 4 weeks but thought you may have bought it used. With only 2000 miles tire wear would not be the issue but a bad belt in a tire could cause the same problem and more so if the weather was cold and the tire had set overnight.
