Getting familiar with the group...
The Genesis is my third car with a Voice Command interface, and arguably, one of the best when it comes to the accuracy of the voice recognition software. I have tested it with a few commands I have remembered using in my 2003 BMW 745i and worked every time. Still, only the subset of the full command-set is made available to the voice interface by design. So, I found myself using the DIS and/or physical controls as appropriate.
Regardless of the type of interaction the driver chooses to execute, I would argue that any other operation outside of the basic car functions should only be attempted if driving conditions allow. Multitasking is always distracting to a certain degree and slows down reaction time, whether it's taking or making a cellphone call or changing the radio station and especially when programming the Nav system. I do all these things including the use my Nav-TV video only when I'm sitting in traffic inching along, never when the car is moving faster than 5 mph. IMHO, Hyundai could have designed the factory interface to blank out the video feed above a certain speed, instead of allowing it only when the transmission is in Park, but their lawyers probably would not allow it.
