  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

FYI, it's spelled Casablanca and you haven't voted yet. No one has chosen Casablanca White as of yet.

I apologize for misspelling the color :) Its not my fault that not that many choose the white , maybe it's only here who participate in this topic, but I have seen many whites driving around. I used to have 2012 Sonata with Pacific Blue pearl color and beige interior. Was looking for pretty much the same , something like Montecito Blue or Manhattan Brown or wanted to see how the Ibiza Blue looks in real life.
Also wanted to have beige interior. The Ibiza wasn't available for next week until next delivery, so I started to check inventory and saw that white , with dark interior. Never thought of getting it at the beginning , dealer gave me it to drive home and just try how I liked. After a few hours I really started to love this combination , and when I finally agreed with this , tinted the windows and it looked more beautiful , because the dark top with dark windows was much more noticeable as it would be in darker colors, another plus is in FL it doesn't heat up that much.
The white pearl sparkling is just awesome.
And as I recently found out this color is only color with tricoat color, so the technical name is Marble White Pearl Tricoat , don't know if it's better or not :)
It might be more expensive to fix some paint chips or scratches.

:D I am thinking of sending this pic to Hyundai. Check out my album, I did spend a lot of time on photo shoot.

.... And you did a great job!!

IMO, the picture would look better if the Saturn wasn't in the background and your car was the only one pictured. Also, if your car was centered in the photograph that would make a huge difference.

A dealer near me has two Gs in the beige color. I actually think it looks pretty nice but I have never read of any of our forum members owning a beige. I bought Ibiza but my next choice was white.

My car is 2 months old. I have never seen anoher Ibiza blue on the road in Southern California.

Obviously we're all affected differently by what we see, but I respectfully disagree. To me, the off center makes it look like its speeding gracefully into and through the frame - IMO if it was centered it would just look static. Also IMO, the Saturn in the background adds to the feel that we're looking at an actual, beautiful, REAL car, in action, not an artists concept. The Saturn might benefit from a little more blur, but its presence adds to the grace, beauty and reality of the Genny.

The best compliment I can pay is to say I wish to hell I had made that image! :)

Just my opinion and worth what you paid for it.

+1

Was initially considering Montecito Blue which would have been my first Blue car ever (generally don't like Blue for automotive color). White was my second choice. I got neither. I have always sworn I'd never own a black car due to maintenance to keep it looking good.

Damn you Caspian Black! Man do I love it. Breaking Bad meets Batmobile.

Empire Gray is grey/blue with mica highlights.
Montecito Blue is blue/grey with mica highlights.

They are close cousins. The blue is not a knock your eyes out bright blue.

Nothing really blue about the Empire State Gray - I think you're confusing it with Parisian Gray, which has a definite blue undertone.

Also, Empire State Gray is a metallic color - not a mica:

I agree that the saturn shouldn't have been there and the car should have been in center. Well there are lot of factors when we click a pic specially from a moving car. Its difficult to click a pic in moving car since there is no stability, the amount of sun rays falling on the car also the direction of sun is important, traffic etc. We nearly clicked 100 pics and this one stood out of all pics.

I can photoshop pic by focusing on my car, blurring the saturn and cropping the front portion so the car looks centered.

To each his own. You're the boss - it's your pic.

You're probably correct. With two greys and a silver, I get them confused.

What is the difference between a mica and a metallic color?

What is the difference between a mica and a metallic color?

"Mica flakes act like tiny prisms, refracting white light into different colors. With mica automotive paint, the vehicle takes on different shades from different angles. Metallic automotive paint, on the other hand, uses small flakes of aluminum to reflect light. This gives the finish shine and sparkle, but the color looks the same from all angles."

Mica is also referred to as pearl and adds a pearlescent effect as well:
