  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do to the Gennie today?

I had my Genny washed, waxed and detailed and had the windows tinted. I had the rears tinted 20% and the front two tinted 35%

Within the last week, I have tinted all 6 windows (20% on sides and back and 70% on the windshield), added a blend mount radar mount for my V1, Weather Tech mats front and back, spoiler, and the ash tray mod. Waiting on emblems and hopefully a certain forum member will respond to an offer for his R Spec wheels.:)

I just got the reader spoiler from advanation on eBay....the paint match is perfect and the quality looks good. I hope to install it tomorrow.

It's Almost time for bed so I sang Genny a lullaby and stroked her shark fin... Good night sweetie... ;)

Nothin' too big, but you asked....

Re-badged her today. 15 min for the rear H replacement to wings...super easy thanks to the video somewhere on this forum/youtube. Use fishing line and a hair dryer and some "bug and tar" remover.

I made a trip to the dealer and had the oil changed, brake fluid TSB, and washed after I left the dealer.

Had three people in line with me at Walgreens asking me about the car - they were surprised it was a Hyundai...this car sure gets a lot of looks.

Whilst tanking up at my local Chevron, another "G" Rspec (same color as mine Grey/Tan) pulled up on/at the opposite side of the pump, we smiled, poured in the jungle juice & then we had our cars washed..:)

Installed the Custom Air Intake.
It's difficult to tell how much power this has added but after deinstalling the stock air box and all of the housing, it HAS to make a difference.
On the stock set up, air comes in, down, left, up into the air box, then a right turn into the engine.

And the sound this thing makes at WOT is intoxicating

I'd love to see some dyno runs before and after. I took my V8 4Runner to the Las Vegas speedway and did three dyno runs. had a Magna Flow exhaust and K&N set up installed. took it back out to the same shop and did two more runs. there was virtually no difference. i was very disappointed-all i got was huge drone from the exhaust. Oh well. I hope there is significant benefit from your mods.

I just saw your post in the mods section so you're on the right track.
I'm not handy at all so I had my good handy friend do the install. He did it in 10 minutes and it was very simple. Just a few screws and clamps to remove the stock box.

Good luck!

There's a dyno run on youtube (with the cat delete). I know...I wasn't there so I can't verify anything.
I did do a before/after dyno on my last car (Nissan 3.5) with an intake and down pipe and saw a 15hp increase, so I know some intakes do work. Our set up is VERY restrictive so I believe there is some gain.

A little light Off Roading, out in the Foothills...Bear Valley/Hornitos CA..
16miles of F U N ~ TailOuts, Wheel Spins, D U S T...........La Paloma Rd in Hornitos :)

Finally a Tank Up & Car Wash.........

My wife is afraid to drive mine.

My wife has a truck (SUV) that she absolutely loves, but since I've gotten the ride a few months ago, she is getting to like it more and more. I might eventually lose it, but that is O.K. She is worth it.
