  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do to the Gennie today?

Where did you get that spoiler from? The one from KAI looks ugly, I'm looking for a lip spoiler like that.

EDIT: Nevermind, found the answer from someone else who posted the question in this thread:

I got it on Ebay. Looks like several folks sell the same version across the net. The one I got looks like the CarID one but was a bit cheaper. I think it was from pro-hitch2 whose store is 'trailer hitch usa'.

Got ceramic tint installed -35% front/20% rear. It looks fantastic against the pearl white.

Today I bought the all-weather Genesis floor mats from the dealer. The four black mats fit perfectly and snap in just like the carpeted mats. I paid $89.25, which includes the tax. Always ask your dealer for the employee, or Internet price. Don't pay retail.

The thing I did for my Genesis today was to order her an ITB-100HD
I've been tracking the BlackVue DR400G-HD for a couple of years now, but I didn't jump on it a while back when it was $180 bucks, and now the cheapest ones are $270!

The Itronics cost me $180 on Ebay. Should take a couple of weeks to get it from Korea. I'll post pics of the install, and hopefully some onboard videos too!

Nice choice Ruissimo. The Blackvue DR400G used to have heat related failures anyway. I use an 808 #16, not as fancy as your Itronics but it does the job.

Thanks... I read all about the heat issues on the BV's. I guess we'll see how it performs once I receive it and install it.

Did you hardwire yours? I could use some guidance... HERE.

:)

BTW... 720p for less than $50 bucks? Why is it I never ran into that model AT ALL in the last couple of years of research!??! Guess I need to work on my Google skills some.

I modded the useless (to me) ashtray into a very functional coin holder (or whatever). I removed the metal trim ring from the molded plastic part and with my Dremel tool, cut off the snuffer tabs from the metal trim ring. I used a couple cutting discs (they're very fragile) and a grinding bit to do the work. Also replaced the push-in lighter with a USB power outlet I bought on eBay for under a dollar. A lot of wasted space now useful.

The flash of the camera reveals what appear as rough edges, but it's smooth to the touch, and looks perfect when blinding light is not on it.

I like this. Might do this myslef.

No I passed a 10' USB cable through the headliner-->A pillar-->glove box to the cig lighter and used a small adapter.
The 808 #16 is so small (17g) it fits under my rear view mirror, no one can really tell it's actually there from outside.
It is amazing when price is factored in, but not really comparable to what you bought which is a dedicated car unit. The 808 #16 has multiple uses :)
It has a following in the RC crowd. Looking forward to seeing some video samples from the Itronics.

Will definitely post pics of the install and video samples when done. Was the pillar difficult to remove?

Installed the trunk and steering wheel "Genesis" badges. Loving it!
Not sure if I'm going to do the wheels or not, since they're so small.

I'll probably do the cat delete next.

I turned off the ESC and managed a nice slip angle pulling out of a car wash (nice, wet tires :p); very little power was required for the back to step right out haha.

Does anyone know for sure how intrusive the ESC is even with it switched off?

Recently, I deleted my center muffler (resonator) and replaced with a pair of 12" glasspacks. Also have 20% tint on side and rear windows.

This week I have:
- Rebadged trunk, wheel caps, and steering wheel with Genesis badges
- Installed a rear lip spoiler
- Built and installed a custom intake

My Genny looks and sounds mean now.

Installed a carid.com lip spoiler. Quick and easy. Pearl white color match is flawless.

Ordered a dead pedal prosthesis.

Not today but this week... a new years checkup.

1. Oil Change. Dealer decided that they aren't going to be doing "required" fuel filter replacement per the 37,500 mile interval in the manual. Senior service writer said "it's an error in translation from Korean".
2. Warranty replacement of ABS actuator. Brake pedal was slowly going to the floor (actuator had a leak and was bypassing master cylinder). Had a pucker-factor moment last week.
3. Warranty replacement of steering and seat easy access power tilt actuators due to limit switch failure.

Got some stock 17" wheels with wing caps on the way from sunny Florida to serve as future winter wheels up here in Quebec!
Bye bye steelies.

Do you have any more pics of your Gennie? I have yet to see a white R-Spec!

Not yet, but thanks for asking! I'll take and post some soon.

Hi. Regarding the carid lip spoiler did it need screws and holes in the trunk or mounted with tape? I was thinking of getting that and the matching roof spoiler. Ps here's a pick of my 2013 rspec: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1357431414.373811.webp

The spoiler came with screws but I honestly could not bring myself to even consider drilling into the car, especially knowing how strong and durable modern adhesives have become. I figure if I ever notice it coming loose, I'll decide at that point how to reattach it.

They sell a few different brands. Some clearly state 3m adhesive for mounting but th rksport brand doesn't say
