  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you pay for your Genesis G80?

Can anyone help with Circle A pricing? I am unable to send private messages as forum requested. Is there a minimum number of posts before I can do so? I am looking at a 2020 3.8 AWD with sport trim in Richmond, VA

Don't want to offend anyone who uses or runs the Circle A thing, but you might try your own efforts, and go in offering a good but low starting price. They may come back with a good deal. I felt like I got a good deal in my own negotiating. Car was $42,050 and I offered $36.5, they came back with $38-something, I said $37.5 final offer and they took it.

They had to go get the car at a different dealer, and it was delivered with wheel locks, trunk net, first aid kit, and mud flaps, so all that was free.

Did it come with the Factory Warranty?

I bought an 18 ultimate in 18 with 12K miles on it & the hyundai dealer said they couldn't warranty/certify as pre owned. Hopefully a real genesis shop will be able to do so in the future.

You had a good experience; many Hyundai stores won't bother to bargain on their Genesises. In those cases, a Circle A certificate will save $thousands. My dealer, from whom I'd already bought four cars, was not motivated. (I posted elsewhere about the $9k+ markup sticker.) I brought the certificate, and he was surprised I'd come up with it. He honored it, and the capture & military discounts. He presented a finance contract with a local CU, but I insisted he check my eligibility for Genesis 1.9% as well. He finally gave in on that too.

So the Circle A certificate is a good backup plan. Too many blue-collar Hyundai stores out there, as of now...

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
It was a new car purchase, in November '19. So yes.
I'd say you shook hands on a sweet deal. I got a 2018 G80 Ult RWD w lugs and First Aid Kit in Sept '17, but the dealer wanted $900 over sticker price to bring it up from CA to WA. We closed at sticker price.

I felt like it was a good deal, but wasn't sure what others were paying. Thanks for confirming it...

I'd love to have an Ultimate 5.0, but had a personal limit of $40k. I now realize I could have probably found a year old 2018 Ultimate or 3.3t for just under that number. Makes me go hmmm.

1st post, I can't get the dealers to budge off the $58-$59 out the door price in Chicago area. Looking at new 19 or 20 G80 3.3T AWD.
1st responder and current Acura owner. Would the Circle A help?

Welcome to the forum. As an aside, the out the door price is fairly meaningless when comparing in different regions due to the different taxes, fees etc. As far as Circle A is concerned, the price of the 3.3T AWD G80 Sport would be around $54k. Being an Acura owner you should also get another $1,500 off that price with the competitive owner discount unless that amount recently changed.

Edit: Just checked autobytel and it looks like the competitive discount may have dropped to $1k.

Thank you, with the 2 discounts the best quote I've gotten was $54,7K I will have to research a bit more to find this magical Circle A and see if it would help.

You will find a lot of information in the purchase and leasing threads in the G70 forum regarding the Circle A and @r_spec who is providing the certificates.

Sorry to bother, but help a new guy? 2019 or 2020 G80 3.3T AWD Himalayan gray black interior.
Triaxie, if you are serious, give us the state, or area you are willing to travel to consider an acquisition. In the south border area of the State of WA would be Vancouver Genesis (Hyundai) 360 694-8500 who may, or not be able to provide ??????

I'm not ready to start negotiations yet, but would like to know what exactly this 'Circle A' thing is, if one of you is nice enough to explain it to us newbies here :). I live in El Paso, TX, if that helps. There's only 1 local dealer, with about 3 G80 3.3T Sports, but all 3 have been sitting for many months there. Not sure I'd like one of those 'old' cars, especially with the potential transmission issue I recently read somewhere on this forum. I'd like a 'fresher' one, and preferably not test driven. At least not heavily, almost qualifying them as demos.

Finally, I'm really surprised Genesis considers Hyundai owners for a $1K extra discounts, but not Kias, which are the same damn thing. I've bought my 2 daughters Hyundais, but put the cars in their names, so they wouldn't count. Only have 1 Kia, but put that one in my wife's name. Oh, and I'd never take the car to dealer for service, but guess I'd still have to pay for that, since 'free service' is built into the price, right? Or is there a way to remove that, and get an extra discount with a waiver? Does anybody know that? Thx.

Seems the Genesis Company pays for the service costs. 'Noticed that Genesis was billed for my oil changes and lube jobs. I'm guessing this is done by all manufactures to compensate if you buy your auto in, i.e., Denver, and you get it serviced in, i.e., Utah.

That's what my dealership told me when I went in for an oil change. Said that they are only reimbursed a certain fixed cost, and that reimbursement didn't cover their cost to provide the Genesis recommend ACEA A5 (full synthetic) oil. So they only offer conventional oil.
