  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just picked up my GV70 advanced at Genesis Madison. Paid MSRP. I had to wait for over a month for the order. Very happy with the car and the dealer! Nick is great!

Congrats, now that you've gotten one from Zimbrick, maybe I'll give it a shot!

The Boucher dealers in Janesville, and Waukesha are STILL way over MSRP.

Did Zimbrick give you any hassle about "dealer extras"?

@dklanecky , they did want to add their ceramic package which is standard on all their vehicles. I believe it's 1500 bucks. Since the car was an order and not on their lot, I pressed to see if it could be wavied. He said, "he didn't want to lose a sale because of it so agreed to exclude it". YMMV.

At least with the ceramic option, you are paying for a service. It's still a lot cheaper than the 6 GRAND markup the yahoos at Boucher Waukesha are charging for the privilege of buying from them.

Appreciate the response!

I already have a great detailer in the Milwaukee area (Ceramic Pro Coating Packages - Carisma Customs) who does our Paint Correction, PPF application, and Ceramic Pro coating application. They do a great job, far better than the dealer I'm certain, so I'll make sure to mention this with Zimbrick BEFORE we get too deep in the pricing discussions.

Thanks again and congrats!

Bought our GV70 at Lakeland Genesis in Florida on January 13. Paid $123.24 over MSRP, plus a $998.00 Pre-Delivery Charge (which was later essentially cut by $500.00 via their increase in trade-in value) which covered tinted windows, door handle guards, door guards, paint and clearcoat protection, nitrogen tires and a warranty on paint and interior (which probably was redundant with factory warranty). We initially declined that Pre-Delivery Charge but were told the items had been installed. It was a Savile Silver exterior with black interior and the Advanced and Select Package which was on the lot and was what we wanted and were willing to drive 200 miles to get, so we bought it and drove it home. Pleased with our salesman, Tom Wolfe.
Hey Poptop. Thanks for the info. I live in Tampa and am looking for a GV70 as close to MSRP as possible. Just to be clear, the pre-delivery charge of $998 includes tinted windows, door handle guards, etc? I wonder if I could order one without this stupid charge. Lakeland is only a 35 minute drive for me so perhaps next week I'll check them out.

I think the best way to avoid that charge is to order it with your own specifications, rather than buying off the lot like we did. Then they can't tell you "We already installed it." But there are so many ways they can beat you. Remember, they do this every day. We don't. But overall we were satisfied, partly because my wife (who bought it) negotiated online for it. Then you have time to listen to the spiel (or read it) and take your time to think about it and decide whether the price quoted has a gimmick addition, or whether overall it's satisfactory. Rather than going into the finance officer's office and have everything thrown at you at once. What my wife did, which I think worked well as a tactic, was to tell them "I have X amount of cash to give you. No more. I don't care how you do it, but you need to come down Y amount." They added Y to the price of the trade-in and she had a deal. Remember also that the sales tax in Florida is the difference between the amount paid for the trade-in and the final price. Not on the total price of the car. I recommend Lakeland. They were much better than my Tallahassee Hyundai/Genesis dealer with his $4,000.00 "market adjustment" addition.

Bought it at MSRP, with no dealer add-ons. Straight forward dealership out of Boston area, no shadiness. Put a refundable $500 deposit around thanksgiving expecting the car to arrive 1/18. Luckily it arrived 12/30 instead. Now it sits in my driveway.
Congrats on your new gv70! Mind if I ask how much they charged "docu fee"? I am in Boston area too and interested in purchasing one.

I feel like I got pretty lucky. Started looking for a 3.5 Prestige on Friday 2/25/22. Same old story not one to be found on the lot within 400 miles. I figured it was going to take months to get one, if ever. Flash forward to Monday 2/28 and I get a call from a dealer I had talked with a day before. He said that a truck had just dropped one off in my preferred color combo. 5 hours later I was on my way home in it. Got it for MSRP plus extended warranty. It was clear I wasn’t getting out of there without padding their profit a bit. I was fine with it as opposed to a “Market Adjustment”. At least I am getting some value for the overpayment.

Congrats on purchase. As dealer said GV70 was just delivered, I am curious what are the last five digits of the VIN number (in this form 59xxx) and build date of vehicle ( on driver's side door pillar label) such as 11/21? Thank you and good luck with your 3.5 Prestige. It doesn't get any better than that!

That is the latest/newest VIN and build date that I have seen posted on these forums. That GV70 is fresh!! May be among the last run of 2022 vehicles manufactured as soon they will be tooling up to produce the 2023 model according to previous posts.

New record for highest VIN posted in this thread. Curious as to build date when you get delivery. What area in NY? Good luck and thanks for posting.

NYC (Bayside dealership). I'll post once I pick up. Deal is for MSRP, so don't believe all those MSRP + 5k price gougers out there.

Agreed. They were the first place I scheduled a test drive (back in Nov). Got there 5 mins late because I had to bring my toddler along...7:05pm. Said they wouldn't honor the appointment and 'that it shouldn't have been booked in the first place.' Wasted 1.5 hrs of my life. Sketchy looking sales people with no professionalism. Bought it at Arlington instead. More professional there.
I had great experience test drive at Arlington location too. Congrats on your new GV70. Did you pay MSRP (sorry if you already answered before)? Any surprised charges? We are interested in getting a 2.5T.

Please share with us prospective buyers what you paid for your GV70. Not so much interested in out the door price because every state is different on taxes, trade ins, etc. More interested in the amount you paid over MSRP, MSRP or under MSRP. Thanks for sharing.
1500 over 51.8K MSRP Advanced Package

I bought mine used with 7K miles. GV70 3.5T with AWD, Sport Advanced Model for 65K. I would of preferred a Sports Prestige Model but they are hard to find. New ones with the 2.5T AWD were selling for list plus 3K at the dealership. Trying to find new GV70 exactly what you want in March 2022 is almost impossible. So, buying ALMOST everything I wanted with low mileage close to home seemed like a reasonable compromise.
