  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you pay for your new Genesis GV70?

Kindly sharing my experience, hope it helps, I just bought my GV70 in March at MSRP at Santa Rosa Dealership in California, people over there are very nice. If you are interested, you can request to see any incoming inventory list is available and hold the preferred car by given your credit info (not deposit).

I bought mine used with 7K miles. GV70 3.5T with AWD, Sport Advanced Model for 65K. I would of preferred a Sports Prestige Model but they are hard to find. New ones with the 2.5T AWD were selling for list plus 3K at the dealership. Trying to find new GV70 exactly what you want in March 2022 is almost impossible. So, buying ALMOST everything I wanted with low mileage close to home seemed like a reasonable compromise.
Dealer was getting 5 to 6K over for everything they are getting but being a previous G70 customer let me have my 2.5T advanced for 1500 over. 53500.

According to iseecars, the GV70 was the highest above MSRP in Texas at 30% above list.

After an 8 month wait I paid msrp for my 3.5 Sport Prestige here in the Bay Area of Florida.

30%! That's nuts.. 15k- 20k extra?I paid MSRP at Round Rock Genesis.. I happened to get lucky and stumbled onto one on the lot.

It's 30K over for a Corvette, do we fill lucky? LOL

Just picked up my GV70 advanced at Genesis Madison. Paid MSRP. I had to wait for over a month for the order. Very happy with the car and the dealer! Nick is great!
Looks great, congrats!

I wonder how these rims would look painted in black?

IF anyone here ends up painting these exact sames black, please do share.

Please share with us prospective buyers what you paid for your GV70. Not so much interested in out the door price because every state is different on taxes, trade ins, etc. More interested in the amount you paid over MSRP, MSRP or under MSRP. Thanks for sharing.
In Canada, pretty much paid the all inclusive price set by genesis but did get all weather mats, cargo liners and tints for free. In the current market tho, i won't be surprised if there are mark ups

Same here, paid MSRP but included all weather mats and cargo cover for free. It was a little older but new/never registered (date of Manu August 2021) with 43 miles when I bought it back in December but still not a bad deal by any means. 2022 GV70 Black/Black 3.5 sport advanced. Genesis of Fairfield - Fairfield, CT

For March, iseecars has the GV70 as the 2nd quickest to turn at 12.2 days with an ATP of$51,473.

Also has the G70 as the 16th quickest turning used model at 37.7 days with an ATP of $38,937.

Note how that's over $8k more than the XE and even higher than the A6 ($38,411); keep in mind that can vary month to month depending on what years and trims get sold, but still, impressive resale for the G70 which has the worst resale out of the current Genesis lineup.

I occasionally check Carvana.com for availability of the GV70, but have no idea how they are pricing them.

As of today. There are three GV70s available. All of them are the same price $55K. However two out of the three are Standard package. The one that is Advanced is only a few K over msrp, but how are they asking so much for standard packages?

Bought GV70 Advanced at MSRP from Stevens Creek, Santa Clara..

Same here.

I'm eyeing one at the same dealership. The marker up is 7k. How did you get around that? Any tips or recommendations?

They started out at 4k markup for me plus lots of add-ons and it took 2-3 hours of back-and-forth for them to finally agree to MSRP with no add-ons. You just have to be firm on your price (MSRP). There's lots of guides on how to negotiate online, so just give those a read. There's a lot of standard tactics they try to throw in, but everyone at the dealership was nice about it. It's worth the wait.

One thing I wouldn't rely on too much is use other dealers as a negotiation (e.g. dealer at X is offering MSRP). Most dealers in the Bay have very few vehicles in stock and there's no way they would let it go for MSRP when there are people willing to pay the markup. Stevens Creek had a ownership change recently and they received an influx of new vehicles which they have to sell, so that's why they're willing to go down on the price. The new ownership, DGDG, is much better than the one before IMO.

Just picked up a new 2.5 Advanced today for MSRP + $6k. There are very few other options near me and few dealers have more than 2-3 cars at a time. I was on the lot 2 months ago and test drove one - went back the next morning and it was sold. They called to tell me they had another one coming in their final allocation for 2022 and it was the color and trim I wanted. I put a down payment and waited 2 months for it. Glad I did - an awesome ride!!

Congrats Mganiere, you have my envy

Wow, never thought I'd feel "lucky" for only paying MSRP. Made it through the first week with my new baby. Trying to learn a new function each day. Today it was turning on the little greeting tune when I enter my GV70. It's almost like it is saying "hello" to me.
