  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Which dealer in NJ? One in Brooklyn is trying to charge 4k over MSRP.

What province & city did you buy it in? Did you get any discount. Please share dealership details

MSRP. I live in Massachusetts, got it from New Hampshire..

There is one dealer in MA, which sells on MSRP, but they didn't have any in stock. Others charge 5K on MSRP.

Genesis Northhampton sold to me at MSRP, but beware they require a $700 protection package and charge an excessive doc fee. But to their credit, they delivered the car (~70 miles) no charge and were helpful with some minor post delivery items.

Patrick in Worcester gave me a verbal offer for MSRP, but only for 1 specific vehicle in stock that was red. Framingham and North Shore were both a joke, ~$5k over MSRP. Milford was vague but not open to selling at sticker.

Brought home my GV70 2.5T Advanced in Cardiff Green two weeks ago, likely one of the last of the 2022s, and paid 3k over MSRP. I had reserved through a different dealer selling at MSRP plus about $1000 in add-ons, but it was going to be a 2023. The Advanced is going up $1900 for 2023, that plus the dealer add-ons makes it a wash on price, so when this one became available (reserving customer backed out) I grabbed it.

Just purchased a new 2022 GV70 2.5T Select PKG...

It was an order cancellation ... just arrived at the dealership this week ... this was the last of their 2022 GV70's...

$47,700 is true MSRP ... $1000 discount ... so $46,700...and no extra dealer add-ons ... $375 Doc fee...

I knew someone at the dealership and they were very fair with me!

Don't forget if you served you can also get a $500 military discount.

No they are not.

Getting a 3.5T Prestige for "MSRP", meaning I get it for MSRP but I have to buy some crappy protection pack for like $1300 and some maintenance plan for $400. I might see if I can just give them $1k instead of the protection pack or something because it's apparently just a sealer and I wanna get ppf and ceramic.

In Canada, we don't seem to have an issue buying for MSRP - it was explained to me that we actually buy direct from Genesis Canada, not the dealership, so they set the prices and dealership cannot add any ADM or extra costs (other than accessories and protection packages which are a lot like an ADM to me). I paid the standard $63,500 for the 2.5T Prestige (went up by $1K for the 2023).

I have been dealing with the Genesis South Edmonton dealership at the Outlet Mall, which they call a "Boutique Dealership" - probably because they have no lot, service bays, etc...just a mall showroom and a couple of test drive vehicles parked out back.

They are moving to 34 Ave and Gateway and combining with Southtown Hyundai. That building was supposed to be a Range Rover dealership initially.
