  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I don’t even recognize the guy in the mirror today, but that’s what happens when you see that Brunswick matte green and Vanilla beige for the first time! It was delivered on Friday into the showroom and I bought it the next day. No buyers remorse 😋
hello, are you me?! lol thats the EXACT spec I'm eyeing as well. matte paint is my only reservation.

anyways, mind sharing some pics of your car? I looked & didnt see you post your car on here but would love to see what I may be getting myself into soon :D

anyone got a deal in TX lately? feel free to PM me if a salesguy is looking for a quick sale. also open to brokers if anyone has recommendations?

If you are looking for a broker, this guy is tremendous. Don't take my word for it -- read Google reviews. He doesn't have a single bad one. His name is Tom. He will tell you straight up if he thinks he can negotiate a deal for you or not. He was honest with me as I will explain below.

Some things I picked up from conversations...

Tom from Car Concierge Plus told me Genesis dealers are difficult to negotiate down prices (it's not impossible as there are some people in this group who got just under MSRP). He told me with the chip shortage and markups that if I got the vehicle at sticker, I would be lucky.

I visited my very first Genesis dealer today in North Plainfield, NJ. Spoke to a dealer who told me that unless the dealership is selling a lot of vehicles (which they aren't now due to inventory), Genesis doesn't give them incentives to pass on to customers where they can meet them halfway between dealer cost and MSRP.

In all, not a good time to expect any deals or even getting a vehicle at MSRP unless you are lucky.

^ Genesis already had the 2nd lowest incentive spending (after Porsche) before the chip shortage really hit (1Q of the year), so don't see how things are any better now.

Best chance to get MSRP (or maybe even under) would be if you're -

1. in an area where Genesis is a hard sell,
2. numerous dealerships in your region (as long as they aren't under the same ownership group),
3. there's a standalone Genesis store in your area (better yet, if there is more than 1), as standalone shops get alotted more inventory.

But, of course, this goes out the window for the desirable trims/color combos.

3000+ off MSRP, 2.5 select trim, no trade in, two month ago but dealer told me I have to wait about 6 months to get the car. Is that real?

What you are getting off MSRP is phenomenal. Having to wait 6 months for a custom vehicle? Absolutely real. We are in a car market shortage right now that will only get worse before it gets better.

Ok, I was bargaining with dealer back and forth at least 4 times in different days. At the time I was going to stand up and back home, the dealer gave me the price I wanted. I told them I am not in hurry but I just didn’t realize it took so long for a custom car.

Hey wait, how do you have the 2.5 prestige rims with the quilted nappa interior?
No idea what you’re talking about. They’re just the 19” that come on the 3.5 Sport Advanced package Vanilla beige…the paint was $1500 extra 😏

MSRP + a little extra to extended the bumper to bumper warranty to 10yr/150,000 miles.

How much extra was the 10-year warranty?
I will have to go back and check the invoice. I think it was like $1,600 or something around there. We talked to the service manager and replacing a backup camera runs around $1800 so we figured with all the technology, we might want to have the whole car, not just the powertrain, covered for a longer period of time.

You know what? That extra $1,600 is a great deal for a 10-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. I think I will do that. I mean, that is the lifetime of the vehicle pretty much.

Yeah, it seemed like a no-brainer to us. Not sure if it was one of those deals for getting it at time of purchase or not. But our other car is up to 240k miles so now that this is our road trip car, we're expecting to put some big miles on it and we want the coverage.

MSRP (was told this was the last one before 1500$ market adjustment due to demand)
-500$ military discount
+299$ for the non-optional etching

Got a couple thousand off on a standard 3.5 model since it was on a manager’s special. Got a decent amount on the trade in as well, so a pretty good deal over all. Wasn’t precisely what I’d have built for myself (I’d have been fine with a 2.5 engine), but the color is sharp (Adriatic Blue), and I’m sure I’ll figure out a way to get over having 375 horses on tap

This was at Genesis of Rockville in MD, for what it’s worth.
