  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What things don't you like in the G70?

I traded up from an Infiniti (G35X) too. Dealer gave me above KBB value and I think they get incentives to poach certain brands, not positive though. Would be interesting to know which brands Genesis is stealing the most drivers from.

What do you guys do for carrying smaller items, like a couple of bottles of wine, a doggie bag, or a gallon of milk - without having to drive like a granny? I don't find the flat cargo net all that secure and miss my old Infiniti cargo net that suspended things more securely against the back of the trunk.

My traded in 2015 Genesis Ultimate had a swing down hook in the trunk to actually suspend bagged items. It could hold a gallon of milk (bagged) or an order of Chinese food without spilling even through rough maneuvers. I thought that very cool and forward thinking.

I use a folding cargo box that came with the Mini Cooper I had. Works great. Sometimes I take it in the store and have them load the groceries in it then just drop it in the trunk and go.

I tend to judge wedge things between the rear seats and the passenger seatback on the floor in the back seat if I suspect they'll be flying around the trunk. Groceries, wine bottles, etc.

Yeah...that is what I do...and the passenger side bolster seat adjustments (accessible to the driver) are brilliant. I can move the seat forward...put stuff back there...then slide it back to gently squeeze things in place.

Haha I do the EXACT same thing

Have you tried using the cargo thing on the right side of the trunk? Probably wouldn't let you fit tooo much there, but a couple bottles of wine should fit

its been said before but the first and only bad thing I noticed about the exterior were those turn signals, really wish they were LED

Here is the one I use form my old Mini 98C99543-8CE0-4D8D-8F37-93252FC3B856.jpeg

Clever use of the cargo net to hold the box in place. Is that the passenger headrest on the right side? Do you also have a kid who rides in the back and wants to see out better?

4 year old granddaughters car seat doesn’t fit with headrest in place.

Do the G70's not have the swing down hook in the trunk? I didn't realize that was there until I looked for it after reading Ernie3647's post. It is a nice little feature that I'll definately use. (Btw, I have a 2016 Genesis Ultimate.)

No they most certainly don't.
I really did like that feature.
