  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There are too many threads, I'm finding it hard to navigate. Question: what tires come on the V-6 tech? Will the V-8 tech be different? I'm concerned about winter traction in snow country.

Re: Bolt pattern for the Genesis wheels

On the V6, It comes with Dunlop Sp Sport 5000 M ultra high performance all season tires. I'm not sure what comes on the V8 model. I'm concerned with winter driving as well. I intend to buy an additional set of wheels and winter tires for winter driving.

Re: Bolt pattern for the Genesis wheels

thanks. Those tires don't look very well reviewed for snow.

If you find there to be too many threads now - with only 414 members - be prepared for what it's going to be like when we have 100,000 members.. If you do a search and turn up empty, create a new thread please...

Now I'm going to look silly since I've been on this forum for a long time. How do I start a new thread. The instructions say to push the "new thread" button, but I can't find it.

When you're inside a thread (a topic/discussion), there's only the ability to "reply". However, when you're not inside someone's discussion, see the attachment. :)

I was pleasantly surprised to find that tirerack.com already has the Genesis as a vehicle option, and they list Blizzaks and several other viable choices for winter tires. Unfortunately, I came up blank when I tried to summon up wheel choices for Genesis. Hopefully that'll be remedied well before winter, as I, too, intend to do a bi-annual wheel swap and run with snow tires in the winter.

Worst-case, I suppose we could work with the Hyundai parts dept. to obtain a second set of wheels.

In a related vein, the wheel pattern on my V6 Tech is one of my least favorite design elements of the car, so I'm looking forward to the chance to pick out a different style/pattern for the second set. If I can find something cool, they'll probably end up as my summer wheels (assuming I don't end up with 17"s for the snow tires).

IDG why everyone hates the 18" V6 wheels. I actually love the way they look.

I like the Premium Plus V6 wheels better than the wheels I saw on the V8 Tech that a I drove at the Discover Genesis Tour. I think that little chrome/stainless/aluminum insert is kinda cool

Wheels on V8 Tech were pre production at the Discover Genesis Tour.
