  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It took me quite a while to gather all the information I needed from several posts - to know what inserts I needed and how to install them on my 09 V-6 17in wheels.

So I thought I would do a tutorial for those in the same boat

1. I purchased a "kit" that included front and back wings and the 4 wheel caps w/wings: Link
A. They arrived in about 7-8 days to Arizona from South Korea - not bad.
There are many other posts about the hood and trunk wings so I will concentrate on the wheels.

2. I peeled of one of the plastic "covers" that is stuck to the top of the new cap(s) and placed it over the area of the wheel that I was going to "pry" on so as not the scratch or chip the paint:

3. Next I used the smallest flat screwdriver I had on my Leatherman "Squirt" (any small screwdriver should work the same). I inserted the blade through the plastic and began the prying process: Picture
A. NOTE: You will be able to get enough "grip" the first time to pop the cap off. So.....I used a small nail to hold the cap out while I removed the screwdriver and reinserted it for another grip. You will have it out by the 2nd or 3rd time. Picture
4. I am a nerd when it comes to some things and I wanted all of caps to be aligned to the valve stem, so I pointed the bottom-end of the wings on all 4 tires to the valve stems. Picture

5. Here is the final look: Picture1 Picture2

BTW - the trunk wing looks great too :D.
