  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a chance to buy a set of 18 inch wheels from a coupe owner who went for 20's...he described them as follows...BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE92A 225/45R18 FRONT AND 245/45R18 REAR. 7.5 X 18 FRONT AND 8 X 18 REAR. BOLT PATTERN 5 X 114...would these fit the sedan? I currently have the base 17 inch alloys...any information/advice would be appreciated.

I'm afraid you are out of luck. The V6 & V8 have different size tires but not close to those sizes.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I wouldn't really worry about tire size, as the coupes tires will fit in that sense, just make sure the bolt pattern is the same the the Genesis sedan.

It really is as simple as that.

FYI,

diameter of the actual radius of the tire/wheel combo need to be accurate in order for the speedo not to be off as well.

The most important thing to check is the offset. The wheels on the Sedan have different offset on the V6 & V8. So you cannot run V6 wheels on a V8.

When checking for wheels there is more selection for the V6 than the V8.

I want to put the 19's on my V8 Sedan. Anyone have more detailed info on whether the offset and bolt pattern will really work?

In Canada, Hyundai has a deal with Fast Wheels to supply aftermarket wheels at good prices. I check for 19" for a V8 & didn"t see any 19".

Go to fastwheels.ca & take a look. Not a bad web-site.:)

Dave, what do you mean by "Hyundai has a deal"?? Do you have any more info?

I really think the Hyper Silver Trident 19" would look SHAGGY on my Titanium 3.8l sedan, and the prices are not too bad.

Anyone have feedback on weight/quality (especially given my 110km daily roundtrip on TO's highways)?

The local dealer here said that Fast Wheels makes certin wheels for Hyundai Canada & makes the center cap with the flying "H" on it. The dealer here dresses several of the Hyundais line-up with these wheels.

The parts department here sells below the retail listed on Fast Wheels website.

Fast Wheels has a neat fitment guide with detailed wheel specs,,,the specs for the coupe and V6 sedan appear to be the same except for offset...the coupe is +35 while the V6 sedan is +39...is that enough of a difference to make them unusable? Thanks for the knowledge!
