  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Will the 2015 revised seat fit into the 2013 1st Generation Genesis?

This is just a general question which will take someone who knows the bolt pattern, and the floor pan layout on the 1st Gen vs the 2nd Gen. Genesis.

The controls for the 2013 Rspec are exactly like the 2015 with the exception of the power bolster control. Thus the harnness to power the seat could/should be the same, especially since the non-power bolster 2015 Genesis has the same adjustments as the 2013-14 Rspec.

The floor pan design on the 2015 may be different? The seat itself on the 2015 is not as thick as the 1st Generation which makes it lower in the car. Since the 2015 seat is much lower and the dash design has changed, I'm not sure IF the new seat did bolt into the 1st Generation floor, if it would help improve the seating position in the 1st Generation Genesis?

The only element which I do not like about the awesome new 2015 Genesis is the added 500+ pound weight of the 2015. It is a much heavier car. And with that added weight is handles differently. Regardless, it is a very nice car, period. Thanks for any input from the forum members. Regards.

I would like to know too. I love the seat in the 2015, but don't hate how much the 5.0 cost on the 2015 model. Would love to buy an R-Spec and install a tech package seat with thigh bolster extender from a 2015 in the car.

I am not sure, but I highly doubt it without some sort of track modification. May need a harness mod too, but that would be a cinch.
