How do you like the Cooper True North winters? Consumer Reports has them at or near the top of their winter tire ratings. How are they for road noise, ride and handling? We get more ice than snow where I am but if I go 100 miles in any direction I gain at least 1000 feet in elevation and get into more snow and my daughter lives on the other side of the Cascade mountains so heavy snow in the passes is pretty common so I need a balanced performer. It is always good to hear first hand experiences. They are +35 offset 18x8 KMC Wishbone rims with 225/45 R18 Cooper True North winter
I am wondering if you ever moved forward with the Enkei Phoenix wheels? If anyone went with the Phoenix I would love to see a picture as I am thinking about that for a winter setup. Took delivery of a g70 AWD Sport today with summer tires and I think I need to get a winter setup immediately.Does anyone know if ANY Enkei Performance (18x8) wheel will fit (says they fit the Stinger GT)? I would love to buy something like I linked below but I'm really worried they won't fit right. Do you think it's best to just buy a set that someone already bought? Thanks!

Both Discount Tire and Tire Rack's websites have the G70 loaded on them so you can specify your G70 and select 18" rims to see which ones will fit. I trust them to be pretty accurate on their fitments. If you stick with a +35 or +40 offset you should be pretty safe. Yes sorry about that... I got focused on the person you quoted in your last post and their question and the fact they had a link to the Tire Rack visualizer but for the Stinger rather than the G70. My responses were actually aimed at Steelers84 rather than you. I now understand how the replies work and they don't capture a prior quote... my bad.The tire rack visualizer works great for an idea of what they look like, that is where I found the wheel. The pictures members post here are much better, so I figured I would ask.

We had about 7in of snow the day after I had them installed... the AWD and those tires were great. On dry surface they seem to have a softer ride than the PS4's but to be expected. There is minimal road noise so far and overall I am satisfied with them albeit with only about 250 miles on them.Hi, how are you liking the Vredestein Quatrac Pros? I'm considering them for my '15 Genesis sedan.
Any info/comments would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Planning the purchase of a G70 3.3 Sport and am thinking about winter/all-weather tires. I live in Calgary where snow fall often starts in September and can go through May. Of course we can have warm snow/ice free roads at any time throughout the fall/winter/spring too. You never know what is coming. I really want to enjoy the performance of my planned purchase throughout the year and not just June-August—the only months I feel it would be safe to keep the original Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires on. The problems is that I don’t want to wear out winter tires during the prolonged warm (7+ Celsius) weather we can also get September-May in Calgary. The only solution I have found are all-weather tires.
Any thoughts on using four of the P225/45R18 size with all-weather tires like Nokian WR G4 or MICHELIN CROSSCLIMATE+.
Too bad the size of the front tires for the staggered setup are not available. I was considering spending the extra money on maintaining the staggered setup for winter but it is not an option for any all-weather tires presently available. Let me know if you know of any that are. Thanks.

Here is the link for the tires...Grand Touring All Season tire that has earned the "3 Peak Mountain Snowflake" symbol...I think elsid88's post a few back in this thread (see below) is another example of the type of all-weather tire you are considering. It might be more of a dedicated snow tire but I think a friend of mine just put those Vredestein's on his Audi A7. I hadn't heard of them until recently.

Nice looking rims! When I put my snows on my G80 the after market TPMS sensors that the Discount Tire store installed took quite awhile for them to connect. I drove about 15 minutes I think and then I finally started getting readings on the dash. I was thinking I might be getting a refund for the sensors if they didn't work (something that happened with another rig) but then they started working. When I drove the car a couple hours later it was still slow to display the psi readings but over time it seems like the sensors have started to register much faster (almost like learning is taking place?).I picked up the Enkei Phoenix wheels today and figured I would post some pictures in case anyone wanted to see what they looked like on a G70. The wheels are Gunmetal Blue, and we went with the Continental Viking Contact 7 tires set up as 225/45R18 all around. I also used this chance to put the McGard black locks and lugs on the car. I did not realize or think about the fact that these tires are unidirectional, not a big deal, but is this the case for all winter tires? My first time ever buying a set of winter tires.
When we negotiated the deal for the car the dealer agreed to swap the wheels after I obtained them, so they did it today and it was simple/painless. The TPMS sensors did not pick up, they thought the fact that the OEM units were still sitting next to the car may be an issue and said to drive it and see if they connect.
