If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Winter wheel & tire packages?

Nah, it's a local place here in Northern VA. I was thinking that with all the money around here I could just get a warehouse somewhere and set up a storage shop myself. Turns out someone already did that. Dulles Car Concierge

I think here in the Midwest it can be successful; thanks for sharing.

That was my initial thought just looking around here, I clearly have no idea what I'm doing.

Was thinking 18" with the winters and keeping the same radius I have now.

I don't either. I know a lot of people are saying under 40 but I just saw the stock rims have an offset of 46.5 for the rear and 37? for the front.

The 19s in the rear, with the staggered setup, have a larger offset. There's more room in the rear, since there's no strut.

does that mean 18" with 47mm offset would work? superpatel was saying that it might cause issues.

Stock 19" offsets are 34 front and 46.5 rear. Rear wheels are 1/2 inch wider (12.7 mm) which basically accounts for the variance between front and rear offset.

Genesis Canada specs 35 offset for their 18" winter wheel package. That said, not all 35's will fit as some forum members have discovered. Additionally, some wheels (Fast FC04) will work in both 40 and 30 offset due to spoke design. I'm running ET 32 and there's room for a small family to live between the spoke and brake caliper.

The whole 'some might work, some might not' makes me worry that I'm gonna end up paying a bunch of money to return whatever I pick out. :/

This thread is 25 pages long. The first few pages will be from Canadian owners as the car launched here first, so those options might not be available in the US. If you haven't already done so I'd suggest starting at the beginning and reading through as there are many wheels that have been demonstrated to work with the Brembos.

I have, but short of buying the same setup someone else has (which is probably what I'm going to do), there's not enough info the 100% guarantee clearance.

that's interesting because according to tirerack they should fit. I saw your previous post of the tire packages and it was informative. Do you happen to know how/why tirerack believes these rims will fit on the car then?

Also, thanks for the quick reply!
I think Tire Rack may be looking at the highest and lowest offset of the car by gathering the OEM specs. +46.5 is a rear-wheel OEM offset. The front is +34 OEM which is a huge difference. I would not risk buying all 4 rims with the +47 offset just because Tire Rack says. Have you tried calling them for the fitment guarantee? These websites will give you a fitment guarantee if they don't fit they will pay for the return shipping free of cost.

I personally went to Genesis and asked the detailed specs of the rims that they are installing for the Winter setup for 18" size. They are installing Fast Wheels with +35 offset. Anything over +42 offset is a huge risk to me. As I mentioned before on my posts that even a +40 offset rim on the front is pretty close to the shocks and could be a risky thing if you hit a pothole, bump or anything else on the road.

You can also call WheelWiz. It's a Canadian website but they will help and answer all of your questions. When they say "guaranteed fitment" it will fit for sure.

Just posted this in another thread. Went with the Enkei Dracos, but not the ones I’ve seen posted elsewhere on this forum. These are black with machined face. Relatively close to the OEM 10 spokes. One of the pics here shows the comparison (OEM wheel is on front right). Tires are Blizzak WS80. 653A60EE-0308-4746-A831-7927F5B8B459.webp5D044273-66DC-43DE-B87C-F85EE7502540.webp5B948A8F-C940-41A9-8983-42F24ECDE1EF.webp

Based on everyone else getting Enkei, I'm headed that way too. Question is, Draco or Vulcan? Unfortunately Tire Rack doesn't have any of the machined face options :(

hi all,

I'm debating on what to swap my summer tires with winter tires (I have the 3.3 AWD). I know Genesis recommends 225/45 r18 but I was wondering if anyone has done 19 and kept the same aspect ration (e.g. front - 225/40r19 & back - 255/35r19). I haven't seen any pictures and I was curious if anyone has done this.

the other issue is for the 19 is the 'Axis model five'. https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=placeHolderFront&wheelMake=Axis&wheelModel=Model+Five&wheelFinish=Silver+Machined+w/Clearcoat&showRear=yes&selectedRear=MV1995511447SMF&autoMake=Genesis&autoModel=G70+3.3T+AWD&autoYear=2019&autoModClar=) for the 18 I have more options. Ideally I'd want a darker colour 19" rim but the problem is they're too expensive.

I am aware the benefits of going smaller tire size for winters but I live close to work and it wont snow that bad here.

Y'all suggestion would be really helpful.

thanks!
As long as you buy the correct size staggered tires you should have no issues fitting them onto the same OEM 19" rims. Please see the attached pic from the owner's manual for recommended tire size.

I think they did sellout. I was looking at the machined Vulcan, they had them a few weeks ago, not anymore. I just ordered a set with Raijin Hyper Silver that I should receive tomorrow, hopefully, everything goes well, I'll post pictures when done.

It's weird because when I go to the tire directly on their site, they have the option in the same size, just not when I go through their config tool.

I couldn't decide on what to get so I let the gf pick and she went with black so it's sort of moot now lol

Are you sure it is for the same offset/width, I found out that Eikin was offering some rims with multiple possible sizes

I went with the 35mm which is what most everyone here seemed go with. It's also within Tire Rack's recommended listings so it's covered if it doesn't fit.

I bought Enkei Lusso machined face 18" from Tire Rack last month and I see now it is not available. Out of stock is my assumption.

I decided to go with the cheapest 18" tires I can get from tirerack that will come ASAP. It suddenly dipped to -9C this morning and there was snow and I had to drive with summer tires....dicey!

I'll try to post pics Thursday when the tires/wheels are all fitted. Also the rims have a +38 offset so I hope it works.

Got my winter wheels put on yesterday, and none too soon; drove home from work last night in white-out blizzard conditions...

Not the best pic, but I was already late for work. (8 hours later, the temp had dropped 25 degrees and this was all covered by 3" of fresh snow.)
