  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Winter wheel & tire packages?

To be quite honest...the car should have an option of about 3 rims. Some you pay more for, etc. All other luxury brands do this.

Although I love the 5 spokers...there should be options. There is more than one color...right?
More than one color - as long as your option color is black....

I think elsid88's post a few back in this thread (see below) is another example of the type of all-weather tire you are considering. It might be more of a dedicated snow tire but I think a friend of mine just put those Vredestein's on his Audi A7. I hadn't heard of them until recently.

Hello

I wonder will it look ok with white body

Great!
I prefer 19'' for looks, not sure why everybody installs 18, maybe for price
For me it was the price, they are on the car for about 4mos... and during a time when keeping the car shiny is difficult, so the ascetics aren't as important as the function. I still get tons a looks and comments during the warmer months since when I bought it in July of last year.

anybody tried stock all-season in Canadian-like winter? I don't see snowflake sign on them, so maybe using them is not a good idea

It's not Canada, but I live in a very hilly region of NH (my house is at 960' elev and about 600' above my surrounding area) and I had absolutely no issues in the last two winters with the OEM Michelin MXM4 all season tires on my AWD G70. I was surprised at how well the car did without the dedicated snows I'm used to putting on my cars.

NH is not that far from Canada though

Yeah, I agree they will probably do fairly well. They are good tires. I use them in Spring, Summer and Fall and switch to dedicated winters when the snow flies. The car is a BEAST with winter tires but still pretty good with the all seasons!

Yeah, it was an experiment, since I have always put on dedicated snows. I was really surprised at how well it did.

I've seen posts here that salt is very bad for rims, but not sure was it only about iron ones. What about stock g70 rims prestige 3.3? What damage can they experience?

No different than any other car, you'll be fine.
