  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wireless charging

I believe it WILL fit. Again as I said my 6Plus is 3.06 inches wide (77.8mm) and you just quoted the XS max 3.05 inches wide (77.4) so the case is smaller and it should fit. The screen size is bigger but thats only because the bezel is smaller.
Wow...you’re right. For some reason I thought it was huge. Cool. I’d never pay that for a f’ing phone though...LOL.

I agree, I wouldn’t pay that much either. That why I am still on a 6+

You need to take the length of the phone into consideration.

edit to add....Note 9 specs
6.37 x 3.01 x 0.35 inches (161.9 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm)
Fits perfectly on the pad without a case. Does not fit flush on the pad with a case (Spigen Tough Armor), but will still charge.

Sorry I didn’t realize the G70 had a pad instead of a wireless charging compartment. The G90 has a compartment so length makes no difference, only width.

Can anyone post exactly how large the space is for a phone in the wireless charging bin? I know an iPhone fits but my phone is a bit larger at 3.075" (78mm) wide and 6.09" (155mm) long. Hope it would fit.

The charging mat in my car is about 7" x 3.5". Keep in mind that the non-charging area is kind of flush with the charging mat so conceivable a larger phone than 7 x 3.5 would fit and could still charge.

Edit: changed "flush" to "kind of flush"

Excellent! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

I have an iPhone 6 Plus and it fits nicely in the wireless charger even in a wireless charging case. The phone is 3.06 inches (77.8mm) wide. No other Apple phone is wider including the new iPhone XS Max which is only 3.05 inches (77.4mm) wide. So any iPhone will fit the charger. Android folks, you are on your own.

Well that is good to hear as I have been wanting to get a Samsung Galaxy 9+ and was concerned about size but it is the same length but a bit narrower than your phone so I should be good. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum since i'm expecting to get my first Genesis (2019 G70 3.3T Sport) and I currently using iPhone 6S Plus. I'm wondering if the Wireless charger will work with this iPhone directly, i meant no Wireless Charging Cases and if so, which one recommended.
Thx in advance.

I don’t believe the iPhone 6s Plus has wireless charging built-in. So you’re going to need a case. I recommend air-charge Works great with my 6+

Nope, the 6S does not have a Qi charger. No clue on cases.

Thank you xKingfisher, definitely i will go with the air-charger as you mentioned. Looks good quality following the reviews.

Sorry i just noticed i did not thanks to Mcc who actually recommended the Air-charge ones. But anyway thx to xKingfisher as well.

Mcc,
Since the Apple Carplay does not work over the Bluetooth in the G70 and looking the connection the Air-charge use when the cover is on the phone, then no way to use Apple Carplay since only works with usb cable, correct? unless the Air-charge cover is removed?

You're touching on an important point. If you're planning to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto then wireless charging will be an unused feature as charging will occur when the phone is plugged in.

I use Apple CarPlay 100% of the time when I'm in my G70 and yes it would be much more convenient if it was supported wirelessly and didn't need to plug in my phone all the time.

So question. I’ve never used CarPlay. Haven’t had time to play.

I just get in my car and throw my iPhone on the Qi charger. Bluetooth is on.

Voice recognition is stellar. Nav is excellent. Phone calls and texts display. Etc, etc.

Why use CarPlay? Not like you need apps, etc...you’re driving.

Well,
I'm late with this since i ordered the Air-charge case and on his way to be delivery home. Is either not to use the car wireless charger or to use Apple carplay which i believe will be better since all the features that Apple Carplay can provide compare with the Onboard Infotaiment?. For now i'm no really sure what to do. I never used Apple Carplay before and still since i expecting to get the car this week. I read that Siry can be used via Bluetooth but only limited to phone and navigation commands? And for Spotify as an example, it is possible to be used through the Car Bluetooth?

So Beefer.
You says Text messages using the Car Bluetooth is possible?. I thought was only through Apple carplay or Android Auto only.
Yeah...texts come in...and I can either read on the screen (distraction obviously) or have it dictated. Not sure if I can reply or not...never tried.
