  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Tried to subscribe to XM Nav Traffic. The XM guys says my unit is not compatible. Of course I am in the car looking at the traffic screen so I know he is wrong. Then he tries to override the system. No luck. So he instructs me to go back to the dealer to reboot the unit.

I am doubtful that this will help. When logged in to my XM account, I tried to add XM Nav Traffic. It wont show up as an option. XM online only shows you the options that are available for your specific radio. If XM does not think my radio is compatible, then someone dropped the ball big time here. The freaking traffic screen in the car tells me to call XM to subscribe.

Anyone, else having this issue?

I had a similar problem when XM and NavTraffic stopped working on my 2011 V6 Tech. It turned out the dealer had probably left it in demo mode, not trial mode. A lot of people on this forum suddenly found themselves with no service when Sirius/XM did a bulk "turn off" one day.

After a long phone call to XM, I eventually found a technician who was able to reset the receiver and set up both the radio and NavTraffic while I was on my cell phone in the car.

Just ask for a technician - the regular folks who do the radio subscriptions don't seem to have the capability to set up the NavTraffic.

I am having the same exact issue with mine right now. I keep calling, but I cant get to a tech. The best I got was having them open a case. What did you guys tell them to have them route you to a tech?

Same issue on my 2009 4.6. NavTraffic has been working fine then suddenly stopped working. The dealer changed out the unit twice. Nothing. I can't seem to get to anyone at XM that seems to know what they are doing...Got past 1st level and transferred to 2nd level support.. Still nothing.
