Hasn't posted much yet...
I have a most delightful 2013 Genesis 3.8 sedan w/Tech & premium packages. Of course, as many are, I'd much prefer something other than those terrible DRLs and would like LED turn signals without all the resistor addition to deal with the fast-flash issues.
Haven't found a solution to the DRLs save for putting a whiter (yawn) halogen. What would seem to make the most sense is a circuit that would sense the PWM modulated signal, and, if present, allow a secondary LED array (like Philips) be activated, and when it's a steady 12V, then the halogen is lit. This is more than your home tinkerer solution, but very easy from an engineering design point of view. Anything like this exist???
Regarding the turn signal issues... this is the closest thing I found to a plug and play solution to front and rear turn signal replacement for LED equivalents w/o any additional mods:
http://www.bimmian.com/WTS
They seem to cater to BMWs, but they have numbers that match the bulb specs for the Genesis (1157 & 7507) turn signals.
Has anyone tried these? And if so, were they "as advertised???"
Open to other suggestions as well!!!
Thanks! Jeff
