If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 2012 genesis sedan - price paid

Hello Everyone
I am excited to join this club, i wanted to share the deal that i got on my 2012 Genesis 3.8 v6 sedan with premium and tech package and some accessories.

MSRP: $44k+
Final : $36,900 +TTL

I dont know if this is a good deal but i am happy.

By the way it is a Black Exterior and Cashmere interior.

To answer laderadude's question, i started my quest with $35k in mind, but its hard to get that kind of deal. Target High volume selling dealers or the dealers on the outskirts of the town (Generally these dealers will listen to you).

Also as some one suggested, be ready to walk off from the dealer if expectations dont match, have patience dont call the dealer too many times, he will call you for sure.

Also be careful about the dealer traps. have email conversations before you hit the dealer. Be specific in what u are looking for. For example dealers might give a great price, but when u reach the dealer he might say the price is for balloon system (lease), infact this happened with me. One other dealer promised me 36400 but when i reached their office they said it was for a used car with 2k miles. SO the bottom line is be very specific to the last detail and have email conversation as proof.

Any price between $36k and $37 should be good enough based on my research.

Another technique is to say if you give me for XXXXX price i have another friend who is interested in the car and take him to the dealership for Drive as well :)

This is my 2cent for price search, hope this helps you.

This thread has been very useful in my pursuit of replacing my 2009 4.6 Genesis. Worked with a good dealership in Kyle, Texas, and got my new Genny last night: 2012 5.0L (no R-spec), pearl finish, tinting, Michelins.

MSRP: $46,520
Invoice: $43,370
Circle discount, Circle cash, loyalty, and other incentives.
Final: $39,246

Great ride! Glad to see they tweaked some of the UI in the Nav and stereo system in the last three years. Still a bit clunky, but a little more intuitive. More information in the LCD console between the speedometer and RPM, too, but smaller and harder to read. Still, am happy.

I just took delivery last wednesday the 11th on 3.8 black on black with Tech package, including mud guards, wheel locks and i-pod cable. Sticker was $44,020. Final purchase price was $37,320. I leased it and received the extra $1,500 for leasing bringing the final price to $35,800. Leased it for 3 years 15,000 miles per year for $456/month including taxes and fees. These prices also included the competitive rebate of $1,500 as I have never owned a Hyundai or Kia before. I love this car so far!!!!!

Taking delivery tonight of my 09 Platinum on Black 4.6 tech. Price is $24,941 with full warranty (including electronics) for another 6yr/60k. Also comes with tint, and Good Year Eagle F1's.

Car has 27k miles on it.

Wow, who did you work with there? Was that a demo?

Sounds like a good deal. Whats your payment like @ 0% financing?

Hey guys:

Here's a deal I'm working on a 2012 4.6 Genesis in Miami.

$38,400 + $900 in dealer "crap fees" + tax, tag, etc. Includes $1,500 competitive, $1,000 "dealer cash" and $500 hyundai financing rebate.

Is that a good deal?

Thanks.

went to dealer for first look at 3.8 sedan with tech and premium pkgs; dealer marked up a new white 2012 without any dealer installed options from 44,500 to 45,780; salesman could not explain why this was done - time to look for a used one with a few thousand miles on it and save a few thousand dollars.

impressive car with lexus ES like feel (and price point) but more attractive exterior.

Worked with Mannie He had quoted me this price on the internet (thru carwoo). He was very helpful and accommodating. My purchasing experience was very pleasant. It was not a demo. I purchased the car, not leased. Payment is 1114 per month for 36 months, includes tax, registration an other fees. Hope this is helpful.

Purchased the car, not leased. Monthly payments of 1114 for 36 months.

You had 60 months listed in your original post... I was feeling bad about my 1.79% for 60mo's from my credit union that I gave up the $500 HMF cash for...

Sorry, my mistake. It was a 36 month financing.

Just bought a Platinum with both packages and wheel locks for $21,811 including TT&L after rebates and $18,000 for my 2009 3.8. I am pleased with pricing as well as the improved handling, lane departure, smart cruise control , driving lights, 43 more hp, and can't really feel or notice any difference between the 6 and 8 speed tranny's. I'm not sure about the LCD cluster display, couldn't see it with sunglasses on. Manufacture date was June 1, 2012 and dealer had it by July 19 so it looks like 6 weeks is shipping time.

Got a 2012 Cabernet Red Pearl 3.8 for $36,080 with Tech and Prem Packages. It's a reasonable deal. But I don't think you ever know if you got e really Good Deal the way they juggle the rebates and numbers around to hide what they are really giving you. I had to get up and walk out the door to get this.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I just made a deal on a 3.8 Premium for about $34,500. That includes all dealer fees and add ons, but T,T,L brought it to $35,600. This was after going through CarWoo and playing prices against different dealers. I found a deal about $350 cheaper but it was a ten hour round trip and I decided to stay with the dealer who sold me my last two
