Hello Everyone
I am excited to join this club, i wanted to share the deal that i got on my 2012 Genesis 3.8 v6 sedan with premium and tech package and some accessories.
MSRP: $44k+
Final : $36,900 +TTL
I dont know if this is a good deal but i am happy.
By the way it is a Black Exterior and Cashmere interior.
To answer laderadude's question, i started my quest with $35k in mind, but its hard to get that kind of deal. Target High volume selling dealers or the dealers on the outskirts of the town (Generally these dealers will listen to you).
Also as some one suggested, be ready to walk off from the dealer if expectations dont match, have patience dont call the dealer too many times, he will call you for sure.
Also be careful about the dealer traps. have email conversations before you hit the dealer. Be specific in what u are looking for. For example dealers might give a great price, but when u reach the dealer he might say the price is for balloon system (lease), infact this happened with me. One other dealer promised me 36400 but when i reached their office they said it was for a used car with 2k miles. SO the bottom line is be very specific to the last detail and have email conversation as proof.
Any price between $36k and $37 should be good enough based on my research.
Another technique is to say if you give me for XXXXX price i have another friend who is interested in the car and take him to the dealership for Drive as well
This is my 2cent for price search, hope this helps you.
