  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As stated, 52 miles after test drive, so yes it was brand new. It was the last 2012 5.0 non R-Spec on the lot, and had been there quite some time.

Just bought a used 2012 with premium package today for 27,398. Only 7 K miles on it. Beautiful car.

Got mine, no options with 1800 miles, for $28K. Should have counter offered at $27K, but was really happy with the price.

2012 3.8 Brand New 29060$ included rebadge, wheel locks and ipod cable

Starting to receive emails from my local Hyundai dealer promoting buy up opportunities for potentially less money than currently paying. I'm a 4.6 lessee and have done one buy up previously (2009 to 2011). Made a lot of sense, brand new Genesis 4.6 for less monthly payment, no out pocket expense and new rubber (another $1,000 advantage). Couple of questions for those of you in the know:

- When do the deals on 2012's start (i.e. when do the 2013's hit the floor?)?
- Are there many differences between the 2011 and 2012 3.8 and 4.6's ?
- With the upgrades to the 3.8 engine, would I be just as satisfied with the 6? - What are the loyalty discounts available (read another thread about Hyundai circle discounts and cash, what is Hyundai circle ?)?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts!

Love my Genesis 4.6,
Stwood

Been lurking on this site for a while. I just bought a 2012 3.8 with Premium Package only (No Tech), cargo mat, wheel locks, dealer "protection package" (whatever that means), cargo net and ipod cable - $32,606 + tax and license after dealer discount and rebates. I financed through Hyundai. I bought it at Camissa Hyundai, Burlingame, CA. FYI.

2012 3.8 genesis with Premium PKG
Metallic silver

$36,600 OTD
at Tustin Hyundai
On September 18, 2012.

On 8/27, I bought a Black/Black Premium & Tech with trunk liner and mud flaps. It was demo with 524 miles on it before I test drove it. It still smelled new. I used AAA but got an extra $500 off because I pointed out an error in their math on on the sales agreement. (The error was in my favor and it wouldn't have been ethical for me to take advantage of it.)

Sales prices was 38,907.96 before incentives, taxes, fees, etc.

With my trade (2003 Honda Accord LX V6 valued at $6,500), my total amount financed was $32,590.44 at 0% for 36 months.

Taking the trade out of the equation, my cost including all incentives ($1500 competitive + $1000 financing bonus cash), NJ taxes, and fees would have been $39545.

I purchased a 2012, 3.8 with Premium & Technology package from Carmax for $34,998. The car only had 6,020 miles on it.

On September 28, 2012, I purchased a 2012 Genesis 3.8 Tech PKG (Titanium silver/black) with rebadge (hood, trunk, and wheel caps), wheel locks, cargo mat, cargo net, mud guards, dealer appearance pkg, 0% financing for 36 months for $35,988 (not including TTT). Purchased in Atlanta metro area. Only 20 miles on the odometer.

2012 3.8 with premium+tech package, trunk mat, wheel locks; MSRP of $44,025

Just quoted $36,000 here in LA, CA from 2 dealers. Other deals won't go anywhere below $36,900. Anyone think I can get a better deal in this area?
This would result in approximately $39,600 with TTL/OTD.

Buy one outside CA. You can get a 4.6 for about that price here in FL.
