  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Spy Photos

Seems they are now arriving at dealerships. 30 are listed on cars.com at the moment.

Nice. I'm interested to see how close to sticker they go. It will also be interesting to see how lease rates predict residuals. Hopefully resale (and subsequently lease pricing) will be better than the 1st gen.

I really hope the running day lights are like the ones in Korea. Here the '15 genesis i've seen on the road all have the LED, haven't seen any amber light as DRL's here.

So I guess I didn't realize just how much weight the 2015 was gaining. 4600lbs is in the Equus ultimate ballpark if I'm not mistaken. Hyundai also claimed that 0-60 figures would somehow improve, while they took a significant 0.4 second hit (which is predictable from the weight increase)...

IMO when the price goes up as much as it did I would expect features to be folded into the same weight/performance envelope, but hey that's me. All the more reason to hope for an R-Spec with enough power to keep up with the '14 RSpec I suppose.

Edit: Where did all this weight come from? I know it gained a lot of features, but the Equus Ultimate is larger and has significantly more features still.

I asked the same in an earlier thread - it cannot be just from the CDC.

ya got 3 more inches in the wheelbase. That should account for alot of steel and reinforcements throughout the car.

That still does not explain why the V6 also has the same size increase, yet only has a little over 100 lb gain.

Check the other thread - at least one at a CA dealer now, but not for test drives.

As of today there are 74 genesis cars listed at cars.com in the United States, but no one has posted about test driving or purchasing one. Perhaps the listings show cars in transit or just demos not for sale?

Cars.com showed that there was a blue one at my local dealer so I stopped on the way to work this morning and walked the parking lot and peeked in the showroom but no luck. Either it was not in yet, in the garage or the boss man was driving it.

^ Could you share the trim levels of the two so we can ask questions accordingly?

If the V8 is ultimate, and the V6 happens to be RWD trim does the suspension subjectively make up for the weight in the way the car handles in normal driving? At 8/10?

The V6 is AWD with Tech and the V8 has the Ultimate Package, as far as the handling is concerned the AWD is glued to the road and acceleration was steady with no delay in finding the correct gear to be in. The V8 is flat out fast IMO, it doesn't feel sluggish in any way and in sports mode was quite fun to drive.

Thanks for the pics. Did you try the CDC Suspension control feature on the V8? If so, did you notice a big difference from the V6?

Can you ask your dealer if they have the Genesis wing in stock for the 2015 to replace the Flying H on the back?

It has 4 drive modes Eco, Normal, Sport, Snow. I drove the V8 in both sports and normal mode which is how the suspension is adjusted in this vehicle, there is no separate switch to raise/lower the suspension nor did I notice any settings for it in the digital menus....I will look at it closer on Monday and report back.

They don't have the wing in stock but it's available for order according to the parts department.

If you noticed, how does the adjustment for the seat bolsters work? Is it one switch that adjusts the whole seat or are there separate functions for the thighs and torso?

One button so far as I can tell and is much improved in overall comfort and quality, the bolster is a welcomed addition and hugs your sides keeping you in place nicely. The headrests are really nice albeit huge.....also they added another mode to the exit assist which allows for taller people to get in/out more comfortably, the seat retracts back further and lowers down some.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Do any of them have LED daytime running lights or just an amber bulb?

Just an amber bulb which is also the blinkers.
