  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

a buddy of mine who gave up his bike brought over a can of Pro Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish for me to use . Label on can describes it as ''a complete detailer in a can that can be used without water on paint ; chrome ; glass; and clear plastic - also used to protect vinyl; plastic ; and rubber .''

The stuff is fantastic .Just got done doing my entire exterior , including the windows in less than fifty minutes . Did not try on the tires since they still looked good . Goes on as a spray and comes of with almost no effort at all . Next time I pass by the local Honda shop I will be sure to pick up a couple of cans to keep in the trunk . Marty

When you say cleaning the car, do you mean just removing a light coating of dust? I just washed my car twice, to remove what was coated on it from a recent winter storm. I can't image you could buy something in a can that will clean a car that took two passes to clean with soap and water!

Seeing as how I'm a "GoldWinger", I've used the Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish often on the bike. I've tried on on my cars and found that it looks great on a light color car, but on darker colors, it seems to leave streaks. (Also many Wingers use Pledge)

I found that I like the TurtleWax "ICE". Although the ICE in the spray bottle works ok, the ICE Polish, in the pour bottle is the greatest. I can do the whole car in 25 minutes and it does not leave any white powder.

The Liquid ICE by TurtleWax is a Godsend! It works great on all the black rubber and plastic on the exterior and does a great job with the waxing just like you mentioned.

the day before we had on and off showers here in so fla which left some light dirt and spots on the car[ which is gray] and windshield. spray did a great job even on the windshield . Marty

i just bought and used meguiar's ultimate quik detailer. hopefully water beads away like its advertisement... we'll see. don't see much rain in forecast here in Southern California, so it would have to be later...

thanks for sharing though, does it have this 'hydrophobic' water repellent stuff too?

Be careful when doing this as you dont want to end up with light scratches from dirt being rubbed around by the towels you use. It may not seem like it but it CAN leave scratches that will need to be polished out. I learned the hard way and now I only wash my car before doing any detailing, even if it is just slightly dirty.

meguiars ultimate QD works great, especially when the car has a nice coat of wax, I use this in between waxings and cant say enough about it. What a great product
