  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Spy Photos

So the LED strip only comes on when the HID's are on?

I didn't notice them being on when the DRL's were running but I'll confirm that and let you know for sure. The DRL's really should have been the LED strip running around the edge of the lights along with the blinkers, I remember seeing a spy shot of them that way and a video...not sure why they changed them.

UPDATE: The led strip comes on when you turn the DRL's to the off position.

Found the Video....look at 2:58-3:04 and you can clearly see only the white strip around the outside of the lights on when it's coming out of a tunnel...at 4:07-4:10 he changes lanes and it shows the outside DRL becoming the yellow turn signal. It's also shown with Dual HID lamps vs. the one it has come to market with:

Update to my previous post, after closer inspection when the DRL's are in the off position no lighting is on not even the eyelashes (at least on the V8 Ultimate and the V6 AWD w/tech). They don't have a base model to check at this time.

Ugh. HMA going out of their way to program in silliness.

I absolutely agree, in the lighting thread that was started you can see all of the stalk positions and the control for the fog lights on the V8. The fog light switch will not stay in the on position unless you have the lights set to manual mode.....the only thing I haven't been able to test is when the lights are in the auto position at night if it will then allow the fog lights to be turned on. I don't see why they changed it from how the video shows it, that would have been a very nice setup having dual HID's and letting the DRL eyelashes also be the blinker.

Awesome, thanks for sharing :)

Man that brownish(?) color they show on the Genesis is gorgeous!

I test drove a V6 ultimate and played around with the headlight settings. I got the led headlight "eyelashes" to stay on, while the Daytime amber lights were turned off. The car has a lot of things that can be set different ways.

That's called the parking lights setting. The tail lights are also on in that setting, as well, correct?

How much are you charging "Gettel" a month to advertise on that car if its yours?

lol nobody grts to advertise on my ride. Stopped in for an oil change and test drove a 15 v6 tech.

Can't remember the thread where someone mentioned the appliqué, so I grabbed a quick shot.

I cringe when I see these dealer ads on someones car, ruins the cars look - if they do that, I let them know it is a monthly ad fee for me to drive around advertising them. The monthly fee is usually a car payment ;)

Yep, tell them you will advertise for them if they make at least 1/2 your car payment or it's gotta go...even then it's questionable lol. :p

Just saw a blue grey 2015 genesis drive past me. Definitely eye catching
