  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I need pics of those who have done this to their ride and I wanted to see first hand how clean it looks and how it was done (if nothing more than the tool of a fish line or a dental floss).
With the crooked "H" is now long gone and was replaced by a wing badge.
I am now tempting to get rid of all the Genesis 5.0 & R-spec all together for a cleaner look which is exactly what I did to my coupe version long ago and I've liked the look of it so far.

People who have done that have posted pics on this forum previously.

It's far too cold to go outside and take a picture, but it looks much cleaner on mine without the Genesis on it. Used a hair drier and dental floss with a bit of auto goo gone after.

you will need to let that hair drier heat it up. that sticky back is intended to be a permanent install and doesn't let loose without a fight. dental floss didn't work for me; had to use fishline.

Here ya go.

I like the look minus the 4.6 LOL
I'm tempting to rid of the GENESIS 5.0 logo and leave the r-spec badge alone but will see how it looks first.
Thanks for posting the pic BTW.

Left just the 5.0 and rspec badge on it - looks very classy.

Sorry it took so long to post the 'after' pic.
Here it is...That pos Prius on the left basically ruins the look of it though.

I thought about removing the "genesis" badging on the back, but never did it.
Videopho, I really like the look of yours.

I didnt see the prius til you mentioned it. That black is dead sexy.
I would love a black car, but I am too lazy to maintain it. I went titanium.

Any thought of moving the "5.0" to the left side of the "rspec" badge? Is that even possible without buying a new emblem?

Thanks
Haven't gotten tired the new look of it just yet but someday it may (will) happen.
The newer badge would look like "r-spec 5.0"
The 5.0 when removed woud likely be trashed but the r-spec may be not.
That's why the r-spec would come off and hopefully reusable with help of googone and 3m doulesided tape.

Im on the fence big time as well.. i guess if it do it and hate it I can get a new "genesis" logo from the dealer. I want it to look clean but not unfinished like an aftermarket product with no badges...

Most likely...

Actuall... I am getting a trailer hitch... so I can tow my Valkyrie (Gf can't go for LONG distances on a bike due to injury) up to Martha's Vinyard for a College Reunion...

Eh... gotta do what we gotta do.

but.. yes, a lip spoiler and 35% tint would be next on my list....

Possibly the Rear Stabilizer from a 2012+, Snow Tires... and will probably need new tires for this by then... so Possible RSpec Rims and New Tires...

It's only money... and my Alimony payments are over in 35 days (but who's counting)

Its nice and easy, I washed the surrounding area with soapy water, used a hair dryer, dental floss, goo gone orange, washed the area once more after removal, and applied the wings took ~30-40 min depending on how cooperative the main logo is... i had to get rid of the stock license plate lights too...
