If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 2015 Genesis Reporting Issues/Recommendations

That is awesome news gameday22...

The car was really low on fuel when I picked her up and took 20.1 gallons out of a possible 20.3, It had 21 miles when I left and returned it with 391, took 19.3 gallons to refill it which makes it 19.17mpg.....pretty close.

Did I miss something here? 46 to 47 psi in the tires. Should they not be around 33psi? That is way too much pressure.

how many miles are on the car? that's not very good for a 6.

My wife is getting just over 22 MPG on her 3.8 in almost 1000 miles of driving. Her commute is 80% city/20% highway.

It's an HTRAC (AWD) V6 which is rated at 16/25/19 so for it's first time out I think it did alright. I was in ECO mode for 75ish % of the tank, rest was mixed between normal and sports mode.

I have a 3.8 AWD and I'm getting around 28 mpg on the highway at 75-ish. 80-85 mph drops to around 24/25 mpg. I'm estimating city driving has been pretty close to 18/19 mpg

It would be too much if it were cold pressure, but it's not (so it's not).

Seems a bit high to me as well. I've never seen more than 3-4 PSI change in my vehicles with TPMS during normal driving. Even in the midsummer heat in Florida.

I noticed mine were at 41 when I took delivery. I've heard it is common for vehicles to be shipped over seas with higher than normal tire pressures, but I thought they were supposed to be adjusted at the port. I just haven't gotten around to adjusting mine. It rides fine at 40 psi

Max inflation pressure for these tires is 50psi according to TireRack.

Tire pressure on any car has nothing to do with max pressure rating of the tire. I do not know what the tire pressure recommendation for the new Genesis is but I will assume 33 psi like the older gen. If you want proper tire wear not to mention the best ride handling to go with the car, tire pressure should be taken cold as in not after a ride and at ambient temps which in the case shown should be maybe at 75-80F. That being said, yes the pressure will increase because of the heat which is shown on the display at 98 so add 2 psi and we are now at 33+2=35. Now lets say he came off the interstate after a long run and they were hot (130 degrees) so lets add another 30 degrees to that so now we are at 35+3+38. This is worst case scenario which is probably not the case however even with this reading he is around 9psi over inflated!

This is how the HTRAC and 5.0 both were, we never added any air. I'll go read the tires later today, I don't know what the rating is for them but both cars felt perfectly stable even in a heavy downpour.

Very common for Hyundai and all others to send the cars on the boat with over inflated tires. This is supposed to be part of the dealer prep where they adjust the pressure accordingly before delivery to the customer. Great dealer prep you got there by the way. ;) I cannot believe I am the only one who noticed the very high pressures? If it remains this high you will prematurely wear in the center of the tire and you won't be getting the most comfortable ride from the car either apart from poor handeling.

In fact, some here were running 28 psi to try to improve the mediocre suspension of the pre 2012 units.

I did earlier but first assumed he had it set to another scale since it made no sense. I was not a helpful as you however by pointing it out...

I thought you worked for Tirerack? Car makers' tire inflation recommendations are not on the tire. You can usually find this info on the drivers door jamb, or in the glove compartment, of most cars. Also can be found in the owner's manual.

? me no....I'm not an employee of anything automotive related, I do IT support for a living. I haven't had a chance yet today to get to the dealership and look at the #'s.

Okay, this is really bothering me. Ever since I got my 3.8 2015 Genesis a week ago, i get this random knock noise, from what seems like the rear passenger side. It's random because it is not exclusive to when taking turns or hitting potholes, nor when driving at a particular speed. Sometimes just changing lanes, and it can be heard.

I first thought that the passenger seat buckle was knocking against the car, but it happens when my wife is seated with her seat buckled. I checked the trunk and there is nothing that could be wobbling around.

Last night I asked my wife to sit in the back seat to see if she can identify the location of the sound. Strangely, she said that once you sit it in the back seat, it doesn't seem like the sound is coming from the rear anymore; rather up ahead.

Anyone have any ideas what this could be?
