Hey All, Just a quick story on how we came to purchase this car. My wife was heading home on the freeway in her 2011 Sonata hybrid with 30k miles, when out of the blue every warning light came on and the car lost power and shut off- no warning. She had it towed to the dealer. I cant' help her, I'm 700 miles away fishing in Baja.
The dealer calls and said " The motor has seized, but don't worry its under warranty, all the fluid levels were correct. The bad news is Hyundai doesn't have a complete motor in the US but we have ordered all the parts to build one and it should be running in four weeks" ....... (I went through the same partial motor replacement when my 6.4 diesel broke a crankshaft and it was never reliable after that).... So I say, "Go ahead and fix it and transfer me to sales"..... Sales agrees to give me a very fair price on the blown up sonata..
I call my wife and asked her to go down on Saturday and either buy another Sonata or look at the Genesis coupe R-Spec (Oh Yeah!)......... She goes to the dealer and looks at both and calls me back with-" I don't like the 2 door coupe, its too small, the salesman showed me the Genesis with 4 doors, I love it, it has so many options!".
...hmmmm, I thinking to myself that there is no effing way am I spending 50k on a fancy Hyundai- so I ask her to go and look at- Lexus, Infinity, Lincoln, Cadillac, Audi and BMW.
She looked at them all and came home with the car that has the most room, coolest options and of course the most important thing to her- the best looking of the bunch!

So, a week later I get home from Baja and I get the tour of her new luxury car including a short ride. I'm impressed! The fit and finish, the overall look and the options are almost endless.. "Come on babe, let me drive it" she reluctantly agrees... Holy shit! What a great car! (I had asked her to get the V8 but she said they didn't have one in red! DOH!!), but it still performs pretty damn good.

The stock wheels appear too narrow to me, I think the staggered look may be an option so I called Jim and ordered what I guessed might fit. He played it safe and brought in 3 sizes of rear tires. I ended up with Toyo 255/35/20 on 8.5x20 wheels for the front and 295/30/20 on 9.5x20 for the rear.

I also de-badged the rear,

I am amazed at the number of people that say " What a gorgeous car, is it an Aston Martin or a Bentley? LOL...
This may be the car that finally removes the shadow that Hyundai has been under. Look at what Audi has accomplished, I remember when you couldn't give one of those away.
And finally, I can vouch for the saying " Happy wife-Happy life" Thank you Hyundai!

I would like to lower it an inch or two, can anyone recommend springs?
