Nice new cool design with a big flat spot just begging to have something put on it. Almost looks like there was meant to be something there but the decided not to in the last minute. A set of smaller Genesis wings might look good but with the hood, trunk, wheels and steering wheel there are plenty already.

Keeping it toned down I went with a silver on gray which just adds the right touch IMHO.

Very nice. I'd been thinking about doing a no-design gloss black front and back to make them match.

The front are factory with a nice gray paint. Unfortunately the rears are the same silver zinc plate we see on all cars. Will need to paint those gray to match. To bad they did not go with a close replica of the front. The rears look rather cheap IMHO.
 
The 5.0 sedan has standard Brembo brakes?

Agreed 100%. Let us know if you find a good match for the dark gray on the fronts.

Nope, ebay stickers. :D Speaking of great brakes though, the massive 4 piston design which Hyundai uses is really nice and on par with Mercedes/BMW

Ugh. Sorry, not a fan of using fake emblems as much as I like the look in your pics. It's one thing to remove the Hyundai emblems, but in some ways it cheapens the car by replacing or adding labels which make the car a poser of sorts. If the Hyundai brakes are as superior as you suggest, proudly put a Hyundai label on them.

The Genesis value for many is for those who don't need to pay a premium to show off a name plate - sticking fake ones on seems at odds with that stand.

+1 - i don't get this at all?

I changed out my trunk emblem for the Genesis wings as I didn't like the look of the Flying H - but proudly tell anyone who asks that it's a Hyundai! If you want the look of Brembo brake calipers, figure out a way to fit real Brembo brakes!
 
I appreciate both sides of the argument, but when it comes down to it... It's your Genesis. Do whatever you want. Tasteless or Magnificent, you are the one that has to live with it.
  • Tint your windows - Sounds good
  • Clear Bra - Sweet
  • Rebadge the trunk - Absolutely
  • Change LED colors - Do it
  • Install brighter LEDs - Now you're talking
  • Modify your DRL - Awesome
  • Tweak the engine cover - Alright
  • Install illuminated sills - Right on
  • Add USB to the center console - More power to you (pun intended, couldn't help myself)
  • Add fog lights - On it
  • Rebadge the engine cover - Bingo
  • Add a rear roof spoiler - Cha-Ching
  • Add aftermarket air filters - Sure
  • PlastiDip something - Go for it
  • Put Brembo stickers on your calipers - Why not

Have fun with it and make the car what you want it to be.

Of course - do what you want as it's your car, but faking that your car has Brembo brakes by adding stickers sure seems an odd thing to do to me (YMMV)!

BTW, with the exception of the last entry, all of the other items on your list are mods to change the look or function of the car - none of them present it as something as other than what it really is... But to each his own...

Because it is copyright infringement. If anyone ever sold the car like that, they would have to repaint them, or face fraud charges.

Seriously, I love they way those stickers look. I personally wouldn't that on their just because those aren't the actual breaks, but not for any moral objections. I wonder what other options are out there that might satisfy me? Looks sharp as heck Midnight.
 
My favorite of your mods is still the V8 badge on the side..
