  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Love it when having the lane sensors, and cruise on ... you don't have to touch a pedal ... just sit back and only steer ... ahhh saweet! I am digging this car more and more and it's only been a week.

And you don't have to steer very much.

Heads up display on this car is wow. All info projected on you windshield in clear view. Speed, Cruise Control info, posted speed limit, school zones, Lane keep assist, blind spot detection, Navigation instructions, and the big red car when emergency braking is about to happen. And a lot more warning alerts and systems.

I love it also. I also noticed the brightness and height settings sometimes don't save. Does this ever happen to you. Wondering if I need to take my car in for a inspection?

Agree that the HUD is fantastic. Really love the feature. This is my first car with a HUD, actually, first time seeing a HUD in action. Very neat. However, polarized sunglasses can cause it to almost vanish. My next set won't be polarized so I can see the HUD in all it's glory.

Fantastic automobile this is. Driving around in it, I love.

I liked the HUD in my C6 Corvette but this one is much better. Color makes a big difference and having the BSM display is a great feature.

Now if they can only make it more visible when wearing polarized sunglasses.

I purchased a separate pair of non-polarized sunglasses just for the car - just store them in the overhead compartment. Problem solved.

I never thought that I would like the HUD so much, but it has proven to be extremely valuable now that I have owned the car for a couple of weeks. I love the Speed Limit info as well as having the ability to put the Blind Spot monitoring info in the HUD. Even when I am not looking to turn or change lanes, it is nice to know when vehicles are in my blind spot without ever having to take my eyes off of the road ahead.

I'm in the same camp -- I love the HUD more than I thought I would.

When I'm in my other cars that do not have HUD I'm surprised how much I miss having it...

Try tinting the windshield. Helps surprising well. My sunglasses use has been cut in half because of it. Depending on how law enforcement enforces tint laws there, you will be fine. Don't go darker than 50%, trust me...

I use a clear (or almost clear) tint which is legal in TX. It does reduce glare and heat. You cannot tell it is there.

Didn't know they made a Sport in '15. ;) /s

HA didn't read the thread title, only the question about which models, which wasn't year specific.

Yeah... it's invisible when I wear polarized shades.

+1

Features like this (and there are many) really rewards the owner for throwing the idea that only big name luxury cars are worth owning in the trash. I never feel envious of others on the road when driving my Genesis.

LOL. The 2015 5.0 Ultimate is actually equipped the same as the 2017+ G80 Sport(adaptive sport suspension) and G80 5.0 models(real wood trim), so in a sense the 2015 5.0 Ultimate is the sport model Genesis at the time until 2017.

Same here. My HUD disappears when I wear my polarized Ray-Ban sunglasses. I have to wear a non-polarize pair of sunglasses as well in my Genesis to see the HUD.

The HUD is very useful in the Genesis. I especially use the blind-spot, navigation and speed display personally.

Know what you mean... A friend of my wife's husband said "I really like that car" - and he's a big time cancer doc that can afford to drive most anything.
