  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was wondering if this has been attempted or is even viable? I find the sedan steering wheel to be too thin and too big in diameter. I would prefer a smaller diameter and meatier grip.

Thanks guys.

I too would like to know if this works, but looking at the earlier coupe wheel I can see many problems with the integrated controls.
the 2013 wheel has many improvements in that category but 2 things come to mind.
First the trip meter is in the sedan steering wheel, on the dash on the coupe. and second with the adaptive cruise control we have the button that allows space adjustment. Not sure how that would/ or if it will work.

You're right, it wouldn't work easily and for me at least, not worth the effort. I too would prefer a lower diameter thicker wheel but the sedan wheels have more functions/buttons on the steering wheel and I wouldn't particularly want to place them anywhere else. There is a good chance the wiring for radio control won't be compatible either.

This would be nice. the truck sized wheel we have now is almost some sort of joke.

I like the look on that one, and if the electronics are the same it is almost a good one.
However there is one huge problem with it. the wheel, or at least the top of it is pvc piping. I dont know about you but when I am aggressive on the corners I pull on the wheel that wheel will flex and in an accident could break.:(

What are you talking about? It's a solid wheel with an overlay. There is no way in the world it would flex enough to break.

I think was is more concerting is that the wheel it's on is a coupe not a sedan. Oh and it's from KAI so don't expect to ever receive it. :)

Look at the material list, it says its a pvc wheel
I ordered an ebay wheel cheap and found that the entire top arc was very flexible. I looked at the description closer and it says made of pvc

It's not even a wheel guys, just a cover for your existing wheel. It would be tough to sell a complete wheel replacement for $50.

+1 - don't expect to find a quality aftermarket wheel for less than several hundred dollars. I love the one I got for my 2010 (from KAI with zero problems, incidentally) but IIRC it cost over $600. Check my album for pics - unfortunately this wheel was discontinued some time ago, but it's tops in quality and has held up beautifuly.

I'm fine with it. I'll be adding that goofy VIP logo onto the airbag too..lol. :)
