Been here awhile...
If you're getting some Extreme Contacts, are you paying for them, or is this the dealer doing it to replace the Hankooks. I assume you have the 2015 Genesis 5.0?
Yes I have a 5.0 and AWD to boot.

I got the recall notice to take my 2015 5.0 Genesis in to have new Contiprocontac. Tires put on. The letter is very specific and it has my VIN number on the letter. I don't want to throw away these nice Hannoks that came with my car? I've got 9,000 miles on them. Guess ill wait until my next service job and have tires changed out? I've had no problems with the Hanooks.
So for the Ultimate 5.0's it looks like Continental Procontact TX are the replacement tire in the US as well as the most current original equipment in Canada. Has anyone in the US taken delivery of a new Ultimate equipped with these tires? Also, has anyone in Canada had a notice of tire replacement yet ?

See above (previous posts) for pictures and comments on the new tires.
I would like to see everyone measure tread depth on new tires. So far seeing 8-9/32nds. Very light on tread depth for A/S tires. Bridgestone Serenity Plus as an example of like tire, is over 12/32nds as measured at the Firestone dealer.
They are saving a few dollars at the expense of tot life for these "replacement" tires. Seen this before on custom production tres for OEM build runs.
Make sure your cars don't pull any way - I noticed a tug to the right after the new tires. They said they roadforced them, but it looks like it'll need a fresh alignment.
Yes I have a 5.0 and AWD to boot.I ordered these tires about the same day the recall notice came out and yes I was paying for them however I have since cancelled that order since Hyundai decided to give me a set of free tires all while I get to rip up my Hankooks which actually work extremely well. I will definitely work with my dealership to have the new tires only installed at the end of summer and hopefully he will agree. Could always tell them I am out of the country and cannot possibly bring in the car until my return if they insist on me bringing it in sooner.

My Conti's - put on yesterday - measure at just under 10/32nds.
Used a tread gauge purchased at Pep Boys - purveyor of Hankook tires.
Since I have low expectations for oem tires anyway - I am not disappointed by the Conti's - smoother ride than the HK's anyway.
How do you have a 5.0 AND AWD???
In Canada we get AWD, like it or not and that is for both V6 and V8 as RWD is not available here. If you want me to rub it in some more, we also get fog lights on all models/trims and LED DRL's like everybody here is complaining they do not have. Icing on the cake is the suede headliner on the V8.I am pretty sure the only V8 AWD models available in the world market are in Canada.
How's the Bluelink?

Called the 877 number and customer service looked up my car by VIN...he said all genesis 2015 are eligible for new tires...The good news is Hyundai will swap out tires for 3 years after the letter sent out which should be this month..I will wait at least 2 years from now..I have no problem with Hankooks and by waiting will avoid having to buy new tires when car is 6 years old...I live in Florida and put very little mileage but change out tires because of heat causing cracking..This way can keep the car 7 or 8 years and not need to buy a new set of Tires...Very generous offer from Hyundai..
