The rear sunshade is very useful in hot weather. I live in TX and have setup my sunshade to automatically go up whenever i shut off my car and down when the car starts.

Are all of you really having flat spot/vibration issues? I have owned my Genesis for about a month now and I can say with certainty that I haven't experienced the slightest vibrations or flat spots on the tires. I think the Hankooks drive great, and if you look at reviews are probably the better tire than the offered replacement if you don't have the flat spot issue. I drive it everyday and my car is never sitting for a while, which is usually the culprit for flat spots on other tire models though. Plus my car was delivered to my house a day after it was shipped to the USA so it has never sat anywhere for a prolonged period of time. I'm just surprised they are replacing all Genesis tires when it seems like there are several of us who are experiencing no issues whatsoever and really enjoy the Hankooks. Guess I'll take a free set of tires in 3 years if they're giving them away![]()
It's more noticeable in colder temps. I definitely noticed them when it was cooler, I don't have them at all now.

^^ +1. There is a problem. Period. And Hyundai is really stepping up to the plate. Got my loyalty points in the stratosphere. When asked how I like, the car and company, telling folks how they manned up and replaced tires, no hassles or BS dealer service writer gauntlets, says it all.
Well said. My guess is that the dynamics and characteristics of these more performance oriented tires chosen by Hyundai may have not matched up with buyers expecting and experienced with more luxury focused tires. The Hankooks issues reported here are mostly in line with low profile, wide, softer walled tires. Maybe these belonged on an N or RSPEC model where buyers are more familiar with the dynamics of these tires and their challenges in cold weather, noise and temporary flatspotting.

The "problem" however does not show up in test reviews, other cars with the same tire or on other boards, news, etc. Unless it is a specific problem with the tires shipped on this car, it is more likely unfamiliarity with performance tires from buyers.
You saying we are unfamiliar with performance tires? Suggest you modify your thinking. Did you have "Firestone Wide Ovals" bias ply tires on some Chevy Nova back in the day? Which got you used to square tires? [emoji6]

Cam always count on you changing the argument by attacking or assuming you are being personally singled out.
I am saying that these tires seem to exhibit the same dynamics of contemporary high performance tires, which appear to not set well with some Genesis drivers. Either that or there is defect, not yet admitted to by Hankook or Hyundai.
To me, Hyundai is not really fully stepping up to the plate unless they explain what the actual issue is with the Hankook tires they are now replacing because of "a small number of customer comments on the tires on the 2015 Genesis"!
Something feels off as it seems an extreme action for a small number of "comments"? I imagine they've gotten more feedback on lack of fog lights on the V6 - so can we now expect them to offer to install those to "ensure our satisfaction"? I have noted the flatspotting on my AWD V6 in cold weather, but it quickly works itself out and it's a non issue now that it's warmed up. I find the Hankooks to be excellent handling tires and they are very quiet, so I'm not getting what the issue actually is?
Hyundai needs to explain the problem and why some cars appear to have more of an issue than others? Also, why are they replacing an Ultra High Performance AS tire with a Grand Touring AS tire - feels like a downgrade. As others have noted, it might just be folks are not used to characteristics of high performance AS tires?
