Fog Light Harness in the 3.8L?

I purchased the stalk last week from E-Bay a nd it took a half hour to install The air bag is held in place with spring clips there are acess holes on the bottom and top of the steering wheel. I also purchased the wiring harness which has connections for the front park sensors and fog lamps both came to around 300 dollars when installed thats all you need the car circuit is in place. the indicator on the dash lights with the stalk switch on

Thank you . Great news , I'll be ordering a set right now. Question, just to make sure I'm getting this right . All you need is the front hardness and stalk ? Nothing else beside the fog light

I did find that the harness sold had the curb sensor wiring reversed I would not purchase the harness the stalk was find when turned on the fog light display lights on dashboard . I found that the connector for the park sponsors located on the drivers side on the left side of the fog light has two orange wires and two black wires opposite of the orange wires for the right and left fog lights I tap into these for the fog lights. You can buy the fog light connectors from eBay too .way cheaper than the harness.

But do the fog lights come on with the stalk? Is there anyway to reorder the pins to there there position to match? I order the stalk and hardness thinking is a plug and play I'll see if I could return the hardness. Also what seller did u get it from?

Yes the fog lights turn with the stalk switch the fog light connectors you could buy separate the way the pin are installed in the harness it would be very hard to change the pin configaratiion if you want the ritgh harness you would pay more to order from dealer with the vin number for the front park sensor , fog light harness both are wired together ..

I purchased the harness and switch from RPMTRADE

I purchased my set through the same seller , should be here next week. I'm going to send him a message regarding the sensor. Hope there's a fix. I purchased the foglights plug a while back but haven't had a chance to install them.

Last question. Which sensor are reverse? Center sensor(Bottom sensors)? Or the corner left and right(top sensor). Thanks. I email the seller , hopefully he gets it right with this info.

I found All of the front park sensors are reversed wired the left the front and right side

The front can't be reverse they just center no matter which side they own. Left sensor beeps on the right, right sensor beeps on the left. I'm going to reorder the pins , I'll update the thread if I get it right. Back up plan is to create a hardness with the two orange and black wires. In case I need to remove the bumper. Or stop at the Hyundai dealer and order the oem hardness from the V8 and be done with it.

I need help removing the steering wheel. Can you point exactly where the access hole are. I know there's two next to the paddles shifter. Where else. Edit- For anyone else that's trying to remove the steering wheel is simple. Theres a tiny whole about 3mm under the steering wheel push that until you feel the airbag pop out . then turn the wheel counterclockwise until the paddle shifter is directly in the middle, right at the end there a bunch of holes , the second hole that's what u want to push in then down until you hear it click. Turn the wheel clockwise until the other paddle shifter is in the middle with the same screw driver push in then down until it clicks. Pull the airbag. Disconnect the battery . unplug the air bag . Everything else it's self explanatory. Is not that hard

I just installed the fogs today.

You do not have to remove the bumper, just the front lower air dam.

Removing the black plastic covers is silly easy. Installation of the lights are easy, some of the nuts are a pain to install. Things are sharp under there too.

I have it wired into my led strip lights for now. I may update to the 5.0 stalk once I find a wire harness that doesn't have things wired wrong/backwards.

I'll let you know if the wiring I order is working correctly. Maybe in the next couple of days when I have some time. The stalk is working

Is the relays and or fuses in place? Do you know where the harness plugs into?

Go to Genesis 2015 general , there's a thread I open explaining everything. Theres a hardness you have to disconnect , to get the bumper remove . That hardness is all you need to replace plus the stalk. Ones again thats all you need. I found a fix to the hardness is in that thread in General.

I tried to do this today, easily got the lower air damn off, replaced the blanks with the new fogs no problem, but I could not figure out which wires would be for the LED's, so I just left them unwired. How did you determine the right wires to splice into?

Yes, because the way are cars are setup is that if the ignition is ON and Auto on the headlight switch and it is dark out, all the lights will come on regardless if you have the fog lights.

OK, i read your tutorial (google drive) - very informative, thank you.
So now i have a (crazy?) idea....

If i followed your steps but instead wired the (Stock) amber DRL (relay wire) into the LED strip, would that bring up the LED as DRL? And if so, in theory, when indicating (signaling), the amber will light and LED should turn off. (unless the drl signal is sent down the indicator wire...).

Am I off base here and/or missing something?? Thanks!
PS - this wouldn't address the fogs

On the USA 2015's, the DRL signal is sent down the same wire/lead as the turn signal - there is no dedicated DRL wire.

Had my fog lights installed earlier this week directly to ignition. They are on whenever the car is on regardless of the switch position on my stock stalk. i did not switch my stalk out. I did notice the other day that when my car transitioned from headlights to the drls (headlights automatically turn on in my garage, then switch off to the drls when I exit the garage) that the drls did not actually turn on. I had to switch the stalk off then back to auto for the drls to come back on. I haven't driven the car during the day since then yet to try to replicate the problem but I am hoping it was just a fluke.

Love the look of the fog lights and the hyper white look of the drls after switching them out to those PIAAs. 4 white lights in front instead of the orange drl/white fog lights combo.
