  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Uniq Performance Rigid Collars

If you're interested I have a 2013 RSPEC suspension on my car that will be replaced by coilovers sometime soon. This is all four shocks/springs and its currently installed on my 2010. Under 30k miles on them and I can sell them for peanuts compared to your quote.

Dealer quoted around $1500 parts and labour....might do in spring...

Has anybody installed these on a 2015 2G or have any knowledge on them being compatible? I want to install them but need to know they fit and are the right type/amount before I pull the trigger.

I take it this would make a noticeable difference on my '09 3.8 Sedan? I'm wondering where I could get it done here in NB, Canada.

Actually, Uniq is in Canada. I don't think you'd have a problem getting them installed. I'll be getting mine installed when I get my new tires mounted and a 4 wheel alignment.

It took a little convincing but my dealer did it for me at a fair price.

Well, after over a year, I finally installed. LOL :D

First impression is that the ride suffered due to the install - but in all actuality, they improved road/vehicle feedback. The ride is more rough due to the tie in, so I certainly will need to adjust my dampening on the coils to compensate. I do like this mod however...it certainly makes the car feel more 'tight' as others have mentioned. It is a very noticeable change. On stock suspension, I do not think the ride will be dramatically altered as it was for me. All in all, I would certainly recommend this mod, as long as you understand what it is that will be impacted. I am quite pleased, and happy I did this - most bang for your buck for sure.

My collars are on the way. Really interested to see how much a difference these things make on an otherwise stock setup. Really looking to reduce bounce and roll on speed bumps and unforgiving pavement.

Will it hurt to ride for a week or so without the alignment? Has anyone any experience with the severity of the misalignment caused by installation of the collars?

Same situation for me. Really hoping to see a difference. What's that about alignment? You need to get a fresh alignment after installing?

I can't find ANY information on how to install on the Genesis Sedan... I find it puzzling that the product doesn't come with any instructions, or even a link to a page of instructions or a tutorial. I'm in the midst of doing it now and I'm going off of the Genesis Coupe videos that are so abundant.. however, there are 10 collars for the sedan VS the 8 collars for the coupe.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Like... ASAP lol

Hey Guys,
Newer member here. Love my 2012 Genni 3.8. I just had the rigid collars installed today. It does make the car feel some what more solid, and it did seem to quiet down the interior a bit. The instillation took about 40 mins tops, since I was on a lift and had air tools. The collars went on with no drama at all. Everyone lined right up and slipped in. Anyway the question I do have, is what is the tq spec for the frame bolts? I went with 85ftlbs, i got that off the video from the collar install on a coupe. Is it the same for our sedans? Thanks for any info..

Sean

Picking up my 13 5.0 R-Spec Saturday.
These collars are the same for the coupe and sedan?
If it's the best bang for the buck mod I'm in like Flynn for the win.
