I see a lot of dealers in the LA area slashing prices finally for the 2015 models, specially the 5.0's.... it's about time!!
I bought a 2015 5.0 in early March for 38K. There was a $8K contribution by Hyundai. The remainder of the discount came from the dealer. However, after reading this forum, I made the decision to purchase the Hyundai extended service plan. The price for that was negotiated , and seemed like a bargain when compared to the repair cost of the electronics.
A number of dealers in the Northern VA area were pricing the 5.0 well into the mid to upper $40's, thinking they could pocket the Hyundai contribution.
BTW, the car puts a smile on my face every time I mash the right pedal. All I drove in the 60's and 70's were rear wheel drive V8 muscle cars. I replaced a 2010 Caddy STS V8 with the Genesis, which has bigger tires than my C5 Vette that is parked next to it in the garage. At my age, there are more new cars in my past then in my future, so it is mandatory to buy something that slaps a smile on your face. It's a great feeling to walk into the garage and have a choice of two V8 rwd cars to drive. Neither of them is the best or fastest in their class, but both of them will get your heart pumping, and turn their tires into air pollution .
