If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Im sure the main theme here is: they're too big, it will look donk, will rub, etc. I'm okay with those opinions:

However, my question is, does anybody have any, or know anyone with real world experience with 21" on the 2G sedan? Specifically with one that is lowered, springs/coil-overs/bags?

I don't think you'll find any info on that configuration here. to my knowledge no one is running 21's.

I pray you aren't considering it.

I value your opinion. Why shouldn't I consider it?

Ive seen people running 22", which looks ridiculous. But, IM(humble)O 20" looks too small in the rear, and I know I wont be happy with it in the end. I ran 20" on my last car and didn't love the size after I installed it, and it was a smaller '09 Acura TL.

agree to disagree. 21's aren't going to make much difference, especially with how low profile of a tire you are going to have to run to make it work. It will literally look like a strap of rubber around the wheel. I already think that the rears on cars with 20's look a little off but its bearable. 21's would take that a little too far. Additionally 21's would greatly limit the tire size as I believe that it even more of a rare size than 20's. I'd rather have a smaller wheel than desired with a meatier tire than a 21 inch wheel with a tiny tire around it.

I realize that Im talking about 95% of modified 2g gen sedans when I say I think 20s look small, so Im treading very lightly. But, yes I think 20s fit the front half of the car very well, but in the rear half the wheels could be bigger. Again, just my opinion, and I very may well end up going 20 because of logistics, but I wanted to gauge viability on the forum before I went to the local shop and got their opinion.

Tire price for 21s is quite high compared to the other two. I was convinced 22's would be perfect but after seeing how good 20s look I'm in the middle. I'm thinking a 20/22 combo would be awesome with the nice drop that the Ark springs give you.

I was thinking a 20/21 staggered would look perfect, but mine is awd, so no go for me.

I have to admit the 21" wheels on the tesla p90d look amazing

I've seen a couple of pictures of Genesis where the rear wheels do look smaller because of the size of the rear. Once you pointed it out, I noticed this effect on 18", 19" and 20" wheels. I suspect the illusion would remain even with 21" wheels both front and rear. Choosing a larger wheel for the rear might be the only way to eliminate this.

I don't consider it much of a concern, though. I only noticed it from a few angles once you pointed it out. I don't think it's something that stands out when someone sees the car in real life.

Looks like this owner found a way to mount some 24s:

But why limit yourself? The owner of this first gen stuffed 26s under it.
Probably work on a second gen:

Those are 22's on the black one.

i think 21's can be pulled off with the proper tire and spring/coilover setup... I've seen 21's on a lexus gs and with the right combination can look great. if you just slap them on and drive yea it can look ridiculous but it can work.

i thought of 20's in the front and 21's in the back like mentioned in a earlier post... that might work as well..

You may be right about the illusion, it might still look that way with 21" all around. Staggered would look best, imo, however, mine is the 3.8 AWD, so that isn't an option for me.

I talked to the local shop here that does all my cars, they seemed to think running 21's wouldn't be too difficult. I would probably have to go coil overs, which Im okay with. He seemed to think 30-35 tire would work. The hardest part being finding wheels that I actually like, since 21's are hard to come by. I think I did find some though, I'm just beginning the search, so it will be a little bit before I actually get them on and am able to post pics.

At the end of the day, I may go 20.... Im picky about my wheels, so if I cant find a 21 that looks perfect to me, I may settle.
