  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So, finally on Thursday, after almost two full months of haggling with Hyundai, I signed the final papers to have them replace my first 2016 Genesis 3.8 AWD Tech Package (in Montecito Blue) with a 3.8 AWD Tech Package (in Pamplona Red). The first car had serious cruise control issues that they were unable to fix after 4 attempts. This one, however, seems to run flawlessly and everything works as it should. It's a striking car in the sunlight with the metallic paint reflecting beautifully. However, in the shade or on cloudy days, it looks completely different, more like a dark, flat, Boston baked bean color. So, I'll look forward to sunny days! :)

Don't see too many Pamplona Red's around here. Can't say I've ever seen one in person either. I can imagine it looks great in the sun.

Now, get those windows tinted ASAP!

I think I've seen every colour in person except whatever they call the beige version. Pamplona really dazzles in direct sunlight, as does Ibiza.

There are many of the colors that I haven't seen in person. But then again, other than mine, I can recall only seeing 2 2G's in the last 6 months where I live.

Not exactly a small town either (1 million people metro area) but for some reason they just aren't popular here. Which I am more than fine with. I get looks every time I drive it...people have no idea what it is. I've yet to have anyone correctly tell me or guess right.

Most of the true "colours" I've seen at the dealership - Ibiza, Pamplona, Manhattan. 95% of what I see on the road are white / black / grey. I see a few Genesis sedans on the road around here, but not many.

Thanks guys for the compliments. I do plan to get the windows tinted soon. And I plan on switching out the Hyundai badge on the truck with the Genesis winged badge. But, I think I'm going to wait on that until this fall when the new G80 comes out. I've noticed that the badges on the G80 have been revised and have deeper detail and just look more impressive, overall. I'm hoping they will be pretty much the same size and will be easy to switch out.

New ride looks tight! Glad to hear they made you happy in the end, though I'm sure the road getting there sucked.

a quick pic from yesterday, sitting next to the competition. had an Alpine white BMW before, and almost bought a white 535i with all the mperformance stuff last summer. Glad I didn't, can honestly say I like the genesis better next to the 5. It's bigger, looks sleeker, and I can't stand how 4x4 those xdrive BMWs look. Stupid high. A real ripoff that the M Sport package costs the same with AWD and RWD IMO. None of the AWDs get the M Sport suspension or the drop that RWD models get with the M Sport package. A real shame, especially since lots of people have no idea they're rocking the same suspension as the luxury line lol.

This isn't mine, but I saw it at the dealership yesterday. I looked on their website, but I couldn't find any information on what the wheels were and they weren't listed on the window sticker. I apologize for the terrible quality, I may try to get some better pictures next time I'm there.

Nicely done.

Comments on your results with the sub? Did you remove factory sub to allow more sound?

Thanks.

The sub... Gives just enough of the kick that I was looking for. I did not remove the factory sub. Really loud when you open the trunk, but with the trunk closed no rattles and I don't sound like a high school kid.

Very happy with the results, one problem with those wheels is the is the powder coating chips easily, one of the reasons I got the chrome
