  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis G90 Owners Roll Call!

Thanks Riley. I fall within severe driving category because of LA traffic and the oil change sticker the dealer placed on the windshield when they delivered the car calls for 3750 miles oil change. Not sure if they will charge for me that or not.

I think I could probably fall within severe as well. I think the whole changing oil is over rated anyway. Someone just came up with an extra revenue stream idea for the oil companies.

Let us know if yours is free.

But as far as keeping it in warranty it seemed like a grey area. I never felt a 100% comfortable with the answers I got. From what I took away from my calls with Blue Link, the severe does not seem to be covered by the maintenance schedule. I asked if I would violate warranty terms by sticking to the normal schedule and I was assured I would not. So I am doing the 7500 mile schedule. One of the benefits I suppose of climate change in the Northeast, milder winters, at least until they are not.

Take this all with a grain of salt. There were many handoffs and call backs during the questioning, and the dealership was and is in the midst of a move to a new facility. They slapped a new sticker with 6 months or the 3600 miles after my 7500mi change. I threw the sticker away and set my reminder to 13k.

I took delivery of my G90 5.0 sedan December 31, 2016. It is silver with a black interior and rear wheel drive. It lives in Northern Virginia.

Riley, I got my first oil change for free at 3750 miles. Next is 8750 per the sticker. Oil is blended.
I drove to the dealer and waited there. There was a dedicated service advisor among the remaining two who does genesis beside Hyundai. No other special genesis customer treatment. This is in SoCal

When my car hit 7K miles a message popped up state my car due for service. I was then connected via blue link to Hyundai who then tranferred me to Genesis. I then was able to schedule concierge service at a local Genesis dealership to bring me a car and take mine. I bought my Genesis in Chicago but since I live in Indianapolis it was no problem to go to a local dealer for service. As 3-3.5K mileage for oil changes follow the recommendations from Genesis of every 7.5K.

Just upgraded from my 2012 Genesis R-Spec to the 5.0 G90 Silver with black interior last weekend. Haven't had much time with the G90. Still driving around my old Genny, selling her off this weekend.

Congratulations. You're going to love it.

Dealer informed me the white/beige 5.0 AWD I "ordered" could be here as soon as Wednesday but I am not holding my breath.

White/beige AWD 5.0 sitting in the driveway... can barely believe it!

Had a 50K mile Equus get t-boned 2 weeks ago. High probability it will be totaled due to frame rail damage.
Picked up a 3000 mile G90 yesterday.
5.0 black paint with beige interior, windows already tinted, with one paint chip on rear passenger door edge.

Or maybe the deals weren't doable because it wasn't brand new?

Just got a G90 Ultimate 8cyl. AWD. It's smooth and quiet. My wife took my 2017 G80. She prefers driving a sportier car, but likes riding in my G90. I'm still adjusting to the operation of some features.

Congrats, and good choice. The more you drive it, the more you'll love it.

picked up my white with beige interior G90 5 liter engine, Ultimate AWD about a month ago.
I looked at the LS460 (currently have the LS360 which I love but it is 12 years old), the Audi A8; Jaguar and the S type MB. Nothing compared to the G90.
I live just north of Boston and hopefully the AWD will come in handy in the winter.
So far I just love the car. Can't even be compared to the other ones I looked at, either in price or style or features.
learning curve on all of its features was a little time consuming but worth it

Just leasing my G90 Ultimate 5.0 RWD white with beige interior yesterday. Now I'm looking for accessories such as all weather mats, mud guards, clear bra installer....

Just purchased a G90 5.0 Ultimate, White with Beige interior. I have only had it for a couple of days but being impressed is an understatement. I traded in my pristine 2014 Cadillac CTS with 25400 miles on it, white diamond paint and tan interior. The ride alone blows the Cadillac out of the water. Now I just have to get used to operating the equipment, smart cruise, navigation, presets etc.

I drive by most cars and wonder if they know how good I have it! But obviously there are some cars that I have not driven and wonder which one is out there that is that much better pound for pound and dollar for dollar. I am guessing you have to go to RR or Bentley...the Wraithe comes to mind with umbrella holders in the door panels and fiber optic ceilings.

This is my first full day with my new G90 Himalayan Gray Ultimate (and my first post on this forum). I am so much more relaxed after my 30-mile commute!

I traded in a 2007 Mazda RX-8, so the difference is incredible. ;)
