  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just a quick update, Bumper went on today to make sure fit was nice and snug, and it was. Sent to paint this afternoon and will be on the car tomorrow. I'll update with more pics then.

Nice, can't wait to see the final result.

What about the fog lights, are they just deleted?

Yep. Gonzo. They'll reside with the original bumper which im considering putting back on for the winter. I mean, I might as well and not ****up the new one when some big truck drops an ice chunk the size of a basketball from its underside. Whihc has happened to me already on my current 16 genny. Anyway. :)

I also decided on the rims. Picking up some Vossen VSF2 in satin bronze. Have not decided on 19" or 20" though as of yet. I'm heading out of town on vacation on Saturday so I figure I'll have at least 10 days to decided.
What I did go ahead and order yesterday is the magnaflow exhaust. http://www.magnaflow.com/products?partnumber=19116. Cant wait to have them on. I really suspect they will unleash the sound this car is capable of.

Makes sense, is the bumper easy to remove and reinstall?

Those are nice clean wheels. I went with 20's because I think they fill the wheel wells better w/o sacrificing too much ride quality.

I was hesitant to buy the magnaflow exhaust so my muffler guy convinced me to delete the mufflers, sounds great when on the gas and fairly quiet when cruising with only slight drone. The magnaflow will probably sound nice.

I think you're right bud. 20"s are probably the right call. You got any pics of your whip, maybe a sound clip or two? :verycool:
Not to sure how hard the install is but it cant be that bad and with the cost of the bumper and its mirror/chromeish finish on the grill id pay the few hours labor any day in order to try and keep it pristine.

When I get back in town i'll be installing that exhaust and plan on making a few video clips driving around town. We got a lot of tunnels round these ways. :) So I'm hoping to score some good footage.
I'll keep you and everyone else posted.

My wheels haven't arrived yet, hopefully it won't be too much longer but there are plenty of pictures of DH's with 20's on here.
No sound clip and sadly no tunnels around here but I'll try to post a sound clip soon.

More appropriate thread for this would be → What did you do with your DH today?

Yes sir!

Man I am so doing this, I might do the rear bumper as well. My 3.8 ultimate didn't come with fog lights so no worries there.

For the "student driver" post #943?

Tuckerdog1

Since she is doing pretty good driving wife's Santa Fe and my Genesis, I decided we would get her a new car on hers sweet 16th birthday last week . Originally, we were looking for used 2-3 years old car, but I found this one on cargurus.com ~100 miles away, this is '16 1.6 turbo brand new, w/o pano roof and navi (exactly what I was looking for..... 17.7k before taxes and other crap. MSRP was 25k.
So now, she doesnt have to drive our cars

The dark brown looks really classy. From a distance it almost looks black, up close it has sparkles in the paint.

BTW how do you get your pictures come to out large on your post??
