Drove the new Mustang. It's incredibly fast and holds the road like it's on rails. Performance is really other-worldly.
The 10-speed automatic felt crisp and shifts were fadst and deciseiv in Track mode under throttle. More delay was evident in the less aggressive driving modes, but nothing problematic. It's really a very capable package with a strong performance heritage and balance.
But it's definitely more rock & roll than I'd prefer. The
exhaust sounds great but is really, really loud for day-to-day driving. The car I drove didn't have the nicest interior options. It was fine but I didn't feel swathed in luxury (not that I consider that a necessity).
I wouldn't completely take this off the table. There are factory icentives and deals can be had. But if you're not primarily looking for performance, it'll likely be too aggressive for most drivers. If Genesis lives up to most of what we've seen and if pricing is competitive, I think it would take priority on my wish list.
But for those seeking ultimate performance, bot acceleration and handling, the 2018 Mustang is definitely worth a look.
