  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

I thought so too, many reviewers also mentioned all awd 3.3T will have a LSD. Hope Genesis didn't remove it near the launch.

On a side note, I just saw the instagram photos. I swear every time I see the mallorca blue it it tempts me to choose it like some guilty pleasure. I know it'll be more eye catching for better and worse, but maybe it's time I stop choosing boring colors and show some flair.

According to the website for the Canadian models, only the top end trim has a lsd. Though they also only get AWD, the brochure makes it seem like that's only offered in one trim?
I've looked into actually just importing one over from up North but the 3.3 is in one of the worst gas guzzler additional tax brackets to wipe out any real savings from the exchange rate, not to mention the headache of getting the paperwork done.

Correct - only the Sport models have the LSD in Canada.

Genesis Newsroom

Here it implies all US 3.3T models get LSD, since if you look at the 2.0T sport,it has a disclaimer that LSD is for rwd only. We'll see what happens at launch

i have to say, it is pretty entertaining to watch how some of us get excited when something (possible not related to launching) happens and every one from different corners of the country all reporting their sighting as if there was a mass alien invasion happening all over the world.

for once us Canadians are happily enjoying watching the show from up north here. hope you guys get your cars soon, make sure you hold your jizz in your pants when they finally make some kind of informative announcement.

Lol

Have a drink...or have a smoke...or both...and watch this brilliant SNL classic...

Just received my email from Genesis customer support. No brochures available at this time. (lol)

Anyone noticed that beige and brown interiors are missing in the US?

The beige goes with the forest green...which is a special edition. But the caramel brown is indeed not offered.
What Special Edition is the Forest Green named??

Two limited-run Special Edition models will debut at launch: the G70 Dynamic Edition and G70 Design Edition. Based on G70 3.3T Sport, these models embody the essence of G70 performance and styling, respectively.

Available in Havana Red with a black interior with red contrast stitching, the performance-tuned G70 3.3T Dynamic Edition optimizes weight with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (replacing Pilot Sport 4) and a tire repair kit, adds performance brake pads, and offers a bespoke key cover.

The 3.3T Design Edition will be painted in exclusive Black Forest Green and will feature a cream-colored interior with a contrasting, dark green upper instrument panel. A premium cabin air filter, embossed Genesis winged logo headrests, and a bespoke key cover complete the Design Edition package. Both special-edition models will be available with either RWD or AWD.

Thank you for posting this. Kinda wish the Design edition didn’t have the cream interior.

So...all the Genesis localized sites are still down (all go to same server). I find this crazy...for all these hours. I'm in IT and can officially state that this never happens.

So...are they completely redoing the website and something went very wrong? Or are they having server problems?

I mean...this is nuts. The entire Genesis footprint across the USA is affected.

I can do with the seats and all but not the headliner. It’s to much for my taste but that Black Forest Green dashboard looks gorgeous!!
Ah...didn't notice the headliner being lighter. But most cars have the headliner matching the seats (I think).

Also...the seat piping is Forest Green. Slick.

I just noticed that, that piping is gorgeous. Out of the two editors which would you get??

I have beige seats in my Hyundai and they are hard to keep clean. Yes, I know the darker colored seats are technically just as dirty as the darker colors, but they don't show it as much.
