  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

Well that's not the case. Since the first Hyundai Genesis generation until now it's almost impossible to find a Genesis AWD here in South Florida. I will say that there is not even one AWD in stock now in South Florida nor the last year or the year before.
GA has em.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your statement, but there are plenty of 2018 AWD G80s at South Florida dealerships right now. I just did a quick search on cars.com and came up with 20 bewtween Miami and Deerfield Beach. Here's a link to one at the Genesis dealership a couple miles down the street from me in downtown Miami.

You are right about your 20 but only two of them in Braman Genesis, there is not one in Doral Hyundai, not one in Kendall Hyundai, not one in Rick Case of Davie, not one in Rick Case of Fort Lauderdale, then King Genesis at Deerfield is the only dealer that has them in stock.

Coconut Creek Hyundai also has AWD models. Here's one:

So that's at least three dealers in three separate areas of South Florida who carry AWD vehicles. You originally wrote that no dealers have any, which is obviously incorrect. Is your complaint that all dealers should? Because, if so, I'd have to disagree. I would think that the vast majority of buyers down here would not be interested in paying more money for an AWD vehicle that they believe will not be of any use to them.

I can see them not stocking many as most people would not want it, though a few would. . Did you ask if they would get one for you?

Kendall Hyundai isn’t selling anymore Genesis because of what Genesis requires. So technically Rick Case and Braman are the only two in the Miami area.

I think Doral Genesis is selling too.

Attached is the latest dealer list. I thought we would have Arizona included this week but the cars still haven't arrived, rumor has it they are being held up by some type of DOT process. Not sure what a state DOT has to do with new cars but haven't looked into it.

South Carolina is back on the list and a number of new dealers have received inventory. We are now at 14 states and 40 dealers. Hopefully Arizona will get inventory next week and I wouldn't be surprised if we see NC with some shortly.

As always, if anyone runs across a dealer with inventory not on the list we would appreciate a heads up.

I will crosspost on the similar thread.

Quick update for Virginia folks...there are actually 4 other dealers that got their VA franchise licenses. But...they have not received cars yet...so not sure if they are still finalizing with Genesis USA, etc.

Genesis of Newport News
Genesis of Western Branch (Chesapeake) - these guys should have gotten 2 cars this week
Genesis of Virginia Beach
Genesis of Roanoke Valley

I, personally, want RWD for the driving dynamics and better trim packaging (19" wheels with wider summer tires), plus lower cost. Unfortunately, all Genesis dealers remotely close to Chicago (Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota) are stocking exclusively AWD. I'm planning to wait a few months, so hopefully RWD availability in the midwest will improve by then.

Find a dealer who has acquired enough points and just order what you want. I'm sure I must have bought a car "off the lot", but I don't remember it.

Genesis of Harvey got 2 G70s today. They are both ALREADY sold. A blue 2.0 sport that someone snatched up the day it arrived, and a Silver 3.3 Sport snatched up by yours truly 2 days before the truck even arrived. They are supposed to have more arriving on the 17th. I wonder if my G70 will be the first in FL? I'm in Orlando if any other enthusiasts want to see in person!

Same. I've been tempted to call them up and ask if they're still suing.

The suit is still active. Mediation is scheduled to be completed no later than Jan 31, 2019. I'm an attorney with access to the court docket and I looked it up Thursday.

I just watched a very detailed 15 min. video of the car. It had Calif. distributer plates, but still no Calif. dealers. Genesis will have a stand at the SF Auto Show late this month. I'm hoping to see a G70 there.

Thanks for the info and more importantly, congratulations on your new car!

Which one was it? I’ve seen quite a few. Did it include a road test? Thanks!
