PINGGOLF
Been here awhile...
Just a stupid little pole for my own statistical observations.
I would agree with the first comment. The above poll seems designed to create conflict and drive a wedge between the members of this forum. How about an option for "needs some improvement"? Since HMA has made changes to the 2010 North American Genesis sedan suspension, I guess that they would fall into the "needs improvement" category (or at least "we are always striving to make improvements in our products").I have to wonder what the purpose of this is for - we already know those with issues are the vocal minority, but nonetheless, I might add that it's not a universal "love or hate" type of issue. I think nearly everyone, including even the media, agrees that the suspension is on the hard side. That doesn't mean they necessarily hate it. Likewise, many find the ride acceptable but wouldn't go so far as to say they love it. There's clearly some gray area in between love and hate, where I suspect many Genesis owners reside.
Further, I don't think ANYONE has said all or even most Genesis owners experience or feel they experience an issue. There's no doubt there's a vocal minority - I suspect your aim is to prove a vocal minority. That was proven long ago, as I see it -- if it were otherwise, Hyundai would be falling all over themselves to rectify the problem.
So you are saying that we shouldn't have a chance to say the suspension needs improvement without saying we hate it? Why is that?I disagree about the "Needs Improvement".
IMO everything needs improvement. That's why we try to improve on everything.
Some people may like improvements on whatever but some people my dislike them.
For me the suspension is great...but then again...for me the Lexicon 17 speaker top-of-the-line model needs improvement. Especially the BASS end of it.
Regards,
According to the rules of the forum as I understand them, personal attacks against other members like the one above are prohibited, so I will not respond directly to your rhetorical "question." If you want to discuss the pros and cons of the Genesis suspension (instead of discussing me) I would welcome such a discussion.Mark, do you ever get tired of arguing about all things relating to the Genesis suspension?
So you are saying that we shouldn't have a chance to say the suspension needs improvement without saying we hate it? Why is that?
Not everything needs improvement. The suspension is one of the few things that was changed on the 2010 model, so we can assume that it needed improvement more than those things that did not change.
You are right about one thing. There are a lot of CNN polls that are equally biased that I also don't respond to.So lets see...you posted 3 times on this poll and probably never answered "I Love it" or "I hate it".
Geez, no sense of humor. I wasn't "attacking" you at all Mark.
Remember, guys.. There IS an ignore option. I think you two should use it.
Let's please stay on topic...
I find over bumps the steering wheel jolts and tugs a bit. This is the V6 so maybe the V8 is better isolated. Its not like it darts off course or anything drastic but its there. Maybe I should start playing with the tire pressures, right now I have them at 35.

Personally, as the owner of this thread, I didnt want to know if you were luke warm.
Answer me this. If you had the option to buy your exact car again...would you...or wouldn't you? I would prefer not to have a "maybe."
Its simple as that.
Some of us look waaaaaay to deep into things. Lets stay inside the box.
Basically, the way I see it....and the way I think Hyundai Corp. see's it, is that if 100 out of 20,000 have suspension issues (just random numbers)...why in the world would we (Hyundai) change it? Why spend the R&D budget to do so? I think the Media (Magazine's and Internet) have more pull than we as a consumer ever will. When shopping for my Gen. I read every available article via internet and magazine and I noticed all the riff-raff about the suspension. Did that have an impact on my decision....Yes! However, once I test drove the car I realized it wasn't half as bad as what the reviews siad. All the reviews that have belittled the suspension is what caught the eye of Hyundai hence the possibility of changes for the 2010.
So...this poll just goes to show that most of us do not have a problem with our suspension...as I expected.
Now...if out of 20000, they received 2500 or more complaints...the yes, we as a company would look into making things right...even if it meant dipping back into some R&D budget.
Those are just my thoughts so go easy on me!![]()
