  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

SPYSHOTS: The next generation of the Genesis G80 is here

I still don't think that video got the grill pattern right; the grill will definitely be thinner and more simple than the G70s and more like the new G90. But what I like about the video is that it mocks up the DRLs alone without headlights. With the spyshots up until now I haven't been convinced of the lined headlights, but in that render it looks great and really carries the Essentia essence. The grill size seems more reasonably proportioned in the render vs spyshots, so hopefully that's accurate.

Agree that the render in the video is a bit off when it comes to the grille.

can't you buy 2020 G80 now?

In Canada but not the US.
nice, I just sent them the same question, waiting for reply.
I am booking my test drive within a week. Does it have automatic stop start like many cars these days?

I don't think any Genesis models has the auto stop/start engine system but I'm sure someone will correct that if they do.

^ I sit corrected. LOL I think it is only available on the 2.0s and not the 3.3t's (at least Sport) on the G70s, at least from a thread on here I just read. Obviously no clue on the G80s.

bummer! I would think G80 would get the feature

Who knows...the new model might :)

They better not, it's useless, lol I've had 2 rentals with it, while in CA-NV-AZ-UT on vacation and I just turned it OFF, right after I turned the engine ON.

isnt it suppose to help with fuel economy?

isnt it suppose to help with fuel economy?
Yes. Could be substantial in heavy city stop & go traffic. I expect we will see more of it as EPA standards get tougher.

damn! especially if I am looking at v8

hate start, stop feature smh.

I have it on my X5 and it works very smoothly. I took my son-in-law for a ride last weekend and mentioned it and he said he never noticed it was stopping and starting. It is pretty neat because in addition to starting when I take my foot off the brake it uses a camera to see if the car in front of me starts moving so it is started in anticipation of me taking my foot off the brake. I would think the next gen G80 will have it.
